Key Links explicitly develops students' language, literature and literacy strategies and skills.

Key Links consists of a series of Guided Reading books to assist students in literacy acquisition. Developed by Jill Eggleton, the books are numbered sequentially to ensure that from the beginning, the appropriate skills and common words are introduced and reinforced. This ensures that a strong foundation is first laid.

The Guided Reading Set consists of 164 engaging titles ranging from Year 1 to Year 6. There is a balance of both fiction and non-fiction (factual texts) for Years 1 – 4. In Years 5 and 6 students are introduced to a variety of different texts such as – Personal Narratives, Narratives, Reports, Explanations, Descriptions and Persuasive Arguments.
