About MailCal for Exchange

Exchange & Outlook email and calendar client that uses EWS/OWA/Webmail protocol to sync emails and events. Modern looking, and uses webmail (ews) access to connect, thus being a perfect solution if you want to access company mail on personal devices without submitting the device to company restrictions.

This app acts as a PULL client (over EWS) instead of PUSH client (ActiveSync) and therefore can allow users to access corporate email without making company IT take over as Device Admins (as long as your company allows webmail/ews access).

Notable Features include:
------------------------------------

- Syncs Emails and Calendars, and provides Contacts integration
- Syncs calendar entries with DEVICE CALENDAR
- Sync frequency configurable for busy/peak and non-peak periods
- Provides an Address book with automatic saving of information from recent contacts in Mailbox
- Search Contacts on Company / Exchange directory
- Support Email folders other than Inbox as well
- Support for Downloading and Uploading Attachments
- Support for loading inline images in emails
- Configurable notification settings
- Material Design based user friendly interface
- Exchange / Outlook Client
- Battery Friendly

Doesn't show all emails in Inbox, don't love how calendar syncs to my personal all one.

Q70%
by Q####:

This app allows for you to read emails via webmail. Perfect replacement for OWA Webmail.

I use this app for work email on my phone. Its a great interface for what my work provides as Web Outlook Mail. A few apps I tried could not handle attachments, MailCal does. Both sending and receiving attachments are fine. I also like the fact it receives emails and I can read them off line, like when I'm on the underground.

Works better than some higher priced options. I wish I'd found this first. I've spent too much on multiple clients trying to find one that works well. There are some decent clients out there, but after a while, they all lacked something... Some would lose connection and have to have passwords regularly re-entered. Others would do weird things with calendar sync. This one is working well (I waited before writing this review). It has a decent interface, and feels smooth. I'd love to see category colours instead of just a category icon, but at least it shows me which messages are categorized.

Got OWA to work with 2 other apps (aqua and mobile access for outlook....and those were free) , but not able to set account up with this app. Emailed developer and no response. Not my server since I am able to access in same fashion on other apps. Will give developer a bit more time then will request refund.

Great email app for pulling email from exchange accounts without having to use clunky company approved software. Highly customizable with various options including active hours, different frequencies, notification settings, etc. Automatically includes my outlook calendar appts on my phone calendar. Love it!

by E####:

I was able to login for months and suddenly it stops despite similar login details and my account working perfectly on other similar apps. My email to the developers hasn't receive any reply yet...

Q70%
by Q####:

Simple and easy to use. Still trying to figure out how it changes email status to read in server after device download

Q70%
by Q####:

App used to do well. Since last several patches it takes forever to open.

G70%
by G####:

I rate this 4.5. I would like more features with the calendar.

by Q####:

After only a day, already I'm thinking I should switch back to MobiMail. It doesn't seem possible to manually refresh the Calendar (maybe I'm just not seeing the option anywhere), and I've already noticed times where my inbox in Outlook contains more new emails than what's in MailCal, even after manually refreshing. This never seemed to be an issue in MobiMail. It's too bad, the interface is great, it had many of the features I was looking for, but it doesn't seem to work quite well enough. Too bad there's no trial period (aside from the refund window of 2 hours).

Fantastic app which works a treat. Having been forced by the powers that be to use only Apple devices it is refreshing to find an app which I can access OWA on my dual SIM Android handset, removing the hassel of carrying around two phones. (Honor 8)

I purchased this after looking good reviews, but it seems it's not correct it doesn't sync in background Everytime I have to manually sync what's the use to pay this much if advertised functionality is not working properly. I don't want any refund I want this app to work as advertised

N70%
by N####:

Great app for connecting to OWA without active sync! Uses OWA/EWS for sync. Also looks fairly pretty.

X70%
by X####:

Great app. Lately, I'm getting force closes when opening certain emails. Cannot see a pattern, though.

T70%
by T####:

The best OWA app out there. It's keeps getting better with every update. More worth than i paid for this app. Keep up the great work.

Q70%
by Q####:

This is an awesome app for OWA purposes and has been very reliable in my use. Everything syncs perfectly and the cutomization with peak schedules and syncs are great. Interface is very intuitive to use and get around. Thanks for making such a great app that I use daily!

Q70%

This is the best app of its kind when you need to sync to Outlook web app

Q70%

Awesome app. Getting force close error on Android O.

Q70%
by Q####:

Great app. Being able to connect via OWA is great, but wish you'd have an encryption option for the data.

Q70%
by Q####:

Just bought it but seems to be what I need. Exchange email and calendar sync.

U70%
by U####:

Great app but needs to support inline reply which is a standard nougat feature for messaging and email apps.

Q70%
by Q####:

Amazing app! Gives you native email app feeling. I'd be happy to pay $20 for this

L70%
by L####:

It's nice application for emails. Needs task manager to be added.

X70%
by X####:

Easy access to my work email and calendar.

Q70%
by Q####:

When Replying or Forwarding the emails with attachment. The biggest shortfall is it does not let you edit the original email body below your typed message. So if there is some contents in original email and you do not want to share that in your email then you are stuck since you can't edit or delete or restrict it partially. Pls fix this quickly. Exchange let's you edit that easily.

Ive had to remove my previous rating of 5 stars as I have been unable to log in to my OWA since 29th March... I contacted the support email on the 29th March and sent a second log in failure log on 2nd April, but I'm yet to have a response to either. The app itself is fantastic when it works, but whilst I can't log in, it's as good as useless to me..... UPDATE.... still no contact from developer despite a comment on here stating support would be given. I believe the issue to be related to android 7.0 update, any ideas??

Best email app for android that I have so far come across.

J70%

Great app. One of the only fully featured apps that connects to Exchange without giving up control to the corporation. Well worth the money.

Q70%
by Q####:

OWA access does not work. Support contacted, no reply. Do not use this app, just wasting of money.

T70%
by T####:

Wonderful app. Best for the money. Easy to use. Sync to local Android calendar and contacts. Get it! Newton Mail is a good alternative but costs $50 per year. Thank you dev!

G70%
by G####:

Pretty good app

Q70%
by Q####:

Just what I needed to avoid over reaching IT dept. Update... the more I use this the more I think it's brilliant. it just works, plain and simple without feeling clunky like using OWA.

S70%
by S####:

Inconsistant and fails to sync most of the time. Then it decides to work... then stop again. I have made no changes...

H70%
by H####:

The app works very well. With other apps I had a problem with calendar or non-continuous sync etc, here all is as it should be. Thanks.

Q70%
by Q####:

Excellent! My company started requiring us to use either airwatch or an OWA solution for security...this app works perfectly, as good as the native email client on the phone. Best 5 bucks i ever spent

Q70%
by Q####:

Finally! An EWS compatible mail AND calendar app that doesn't require a ridiculous subscription fee. Thank you for this.

X70%
by X####:

This app used to be best in class, but ever since the most recent updates these past few months, it no longer works. At all...

M70%
by M####:

Some emails after last couple of updates do not show up. Can see them in internet Explorer though. Not reliable as you do not get all emails. Not expected from a paid app.

Q70%
by Q####:

This application has grown quite nicely since I purchased it, constant bug fixes and features additions, without a doubt the best OWA email and calander sync app that exists.
