Load Shed

Nice app would give 5 stars if you could have a schedule. Uninstall does not work ...how are we supposed to uninstall icon just remains there ? I will use it for now and hopefully it will get better over time , don't mind paying for something that works.

Gridwatch is by far the best notification app, this one is outdated and late with updates

Only help is that it tells you what load shed stage it's going to be otherwise the schedules are incorrect & have been since I installed it about 2 months ago. Am uninstalling this...

Only notifies of stages changes 20min after the change occurs, which is often after the power goes out. Also, the load shedding schedule is out of date, and has been for a while.

This is one thing that bugs me. The notification icon is an envelope. Surely it can be changed for a power symbol or lightbulb? Other than that, I like the app. It's not always perfectly accurate, but the timings are correct most of the time and allows me to plan around traffic in busy areas during load shedding

Need to keep schedules up to date, notification useful but there are similar apps which have updated schedules also with push notification.

Schedules are not correct (probably because they have been changed and are going to change yet again) but I appreciate getting a notification whenever loadshedding is announced! This app is worthwhile just for that feature alone. Thank you!

Gave it a try had it for 5 days and they did not get it right once.

LIVE WARNINGS "Report Power On" or "Report Power Off" and Red or Green grid indicator light for restoration of power. It helps greatly to know about the possibility of the load shedding and thus I can be aware of. Very useful to me.

So far i quite like it, but its only problem I've come across is that it only shows the time of loadshedding, not the date. At the moment, according to eskom's schedule, we will experience loadshedding tommorrow at 18:00. The app just states 18:00 - 20:30 which is utterly useless as I don't know if it is for today or tomorrow, so I have to check eskom schedule anyway, making this app utterly pointless and redundant. Will give 5 starts if fixed. As it is, I can't use it and 1 star seems fit.

It is Location based for easy use and it works greatly on my location and I was totally surprised!!! Never seen such a app before and It is actually a good app. Easy to know about the danger of load shedding and be prepared for that. Love it!!!

Like the app and faster than city of ct twitter feed but lacks information about schedule for the area to provide early warning

This app is not perfect, but does what it can with the poor data provided by Eskom. Thank you to the developers for a great effort! My only request would be for a paid premium version without ads.

Great and wonderful app to know when load shedding is going to happen and where and gives up date information on load shedding within on my grid.. Use it on the road, in my office or home locations. The idea is totally Awesome!!!

*ad free paid version please * also I would love an option to report Power restored. 3 reported power outage in "area" in last 4 hours. Most recent report: "disruption" OR "restored". This is my wish.

Showing wrong times, thus not using correct schedules, but correct area has been chosen. Think they use OLD schedules. Not worth while.

Up to date load shedding schedule you may find out through this app. Best one app in the play store.

The splurb about the app says that is uses updated load shedding schedules for pre-warnings. Where does one find this schedule within the app? Not yet seen it work, even though my area had load shedding. Will give it a few more sheds to decide its usefulness.

The multiple areas feature is great, but today's (Sunday) schedule on City Power is not reflecting in the app, so how accurate can it be?

I think it is time to update your schedules. I would like to be warned at least 15 minutes in advance.

The schedules are wrong, the app keeps telling me there are no schedules available??? Seriously? The schedules are available everywhere.. How can the app not pick that up? The app should rather work on the loadshedding areas (ie..area 10) not every possible neighborhood in 10km radius from where I am. Shedalert is far better... The schedules are bang on.

It stopped having accurate schedules for Cape Town

This app can't read the website and provide schedules.

Great crowd sourcing facility. Would be great if the outages in progress could be sorted by name or distance.

I could live with the adverts if the single item of info the app should supply was correct, but it seems that this is not the case. Loadshedding was suspended some time ago but the app still shows stage 1. Seems a waste of time.
