About Exercise Logger
Exercise Logger is a free GPS tracking app without membership or subscription fees, but with big app features:
1. See in real-time your track on a map, your speed and heart rate (using smart Bluetooth monitor) vs time in a chart, the distance you've gone, how long, as well as your instant and average speed and pace.
2. Hear in real-time your speed, pace, distance, and duration. You select how often the app speaks. Change what you hear on the fly. You may use a Bluetooth headset.
3. Afterward, see where you went on a map with a color coded track that visualizes your speed. Tap a spot on the map to see your speed (or pace) and heart rate minute by minute.
4. Select from a range of charts to visualize your data: speed, elevation, or heart rate versus time or distance.
5. Review a summary of all or a subset of your tracks by week, month, or year. Choose from distance, duration, or speed. Choose between a table or a bar chart.
6. Share your tracks with a friend or view a friend's tracks.
7. Sync your tracks to an external folder on your device or sync your tracks to a Google Drive account. These two sync options allow you to backup your tracks and share them between different devices. The synced tracks are in comma separated format, so you may import them into a spreadsheet program for other processing.
8. Within the app see your exercise data in a spreadsheet format: time, distance, speed, elevation and heart rate.
9. Select between two modes of GPS recording: (1) Timed intervals from 1 to 60 seconds, or (2) Minimum distance from 5 to 50 meters.
10. Other features include automatic pause when not moving, data smoothing during and after recording, manual tuning of track color, start and stop recording using the volume rocker, and speak or mute the audio when the screen is off.
To get started is simple: (1) select your activity on the top left, (2) press 'New Track', (3) wait for GPS lock on your device, (4) press 'Start'. Get moving! On the map page check what you want to hear. (5) when you are finished press 'Stop'.
The track is automatically saved to your 'Diary' and included in your 'Summary'. To access advanced features go to the 'Settings' menu before step (2). An internet connection is initially required to download the Google Map of your location. Later the cached map is used. To delete a track long press it in Diary.
