Pentru orasul Craiova Radio Mix este un brand. Prima emisie a acestui post de radio s-a realizat cu multi ani in urma. Radio Mix Fm asa cum s-a numit el la inceputuri, deoarece a emis ani buni in eterul craiovean, a realizat prima emisie pe 7 iulie 2000. Datorita unor probleme tehnice isi inceteaza emisia numai dupa o luna de zile, revenind in forta dupa 3 luni de inactivitate. Revenirea in eterul craiovean s-a realizat in forta, culminand cu realizarea unor emisiuni maraton in preajma sarbatorilor de iarna din anul 2000.

Numele Radio Mix Fm era strans legat de eforturile unor adolescenti precum Dj Johny (Ionut), Dj Bady (Bogdan), Dj Kelu (Gigi), DJ Dani (Dani), Dj MufaJack (Tavi), Dj Dana (Dana), Dj Fifi (Anda), Dj Menaj (Lidia) si multi altii. Datorita acestor adolescenti si eforturilor lor s-au putut realiza emisiuni de calitate facand ca in raza pe care se receptiona Radio Mix Fm sa fie detasat cel mai ascultat post de radio din Craiova.

In vara anului 2001 am incercat retragerea de pe piata a acestui radio cu acordul tuturor si reintoarcerea sub un alt nume (JDXKMB). Precum si dupa soare urmeaza furtuni in cadrul colectivului de prieteni ce realizau emisiuni si sustineau Radio Mix Fm au aparut diverse conflicte ducand la ruperea relatiilor. Radio Mix Fm a continuat sa emita sub o noua formula unde un rol principal l-a avut Dj Johny pana in vara anului 2005. In anul 2005 emisia postului de radio Radio Mix Fm s-a cam rarit. Intre timp au aparut in eterul craiovean o serie (3-4 la numar) de posturi de radio pirat ce incercau copierea brandului Radio Mix Fm (folosind acelasi ID), dar care nu aveau cam nicio legatura cu emisiunile radio. In vara anului 2005 s-a intamplat inevitabilul si unul dintre Dj-ii care incerca copierea brandului Radio Mix Fm a fost prins si oprit de organele abilitate.

Acel an a insemnat sfarsitul emisiunilor in eter a postului de Radio Mix Fm.

Astfel din februarie 2006 a inceputa sa emita non-stop Radio Mix Craiova online. La 1 septembrie 2006 s-a realizat relansarea lui. Chiar daca nu mai suntem toti vechii Dj (mai lipsesc cred 2), Radio Mix Fm si Radio Mix Craiova a trait si traieste datorita prieteniei dintre adolescenti.

1 iunie 2007, de Ziua Internationala a Copilului, inseamna relansarea site-ului www.mixcraiova.ro.Cu o noua infatisare si un nou continut speram sa fim mai aproape de voi, romani, oriunde v-ati afla.
