Angel Costi

Angel Costi è l’app semplice e intuitiva per confrontare i fondi comuni di investimento in modo innovativo ed evitare di pagare costi eccessivi per i fondi in cui investi.
Angel Costi consente di confrontare i costi dei fondi comuni di investimento con il servizio di gestione attiva offerto. L’obiettivo è capire se tali costi sono proporzionati o no: infatti, più alti sono i costi maggiore deve essere il lavoro del gestore.
Se invece il servizio è basso ed il gestore compone un portafoglio di investimenti copiando il mercato (gestione passiva), i costi devono essere contenuti.
In funzione del rapporto costi-qualità, ogni fondo si posiziona in uno dei quattro quadranti dell’app, che individuano situazioni in cui il tale rapporto è proporzionato o no: Star, Premium, Low Cost o Bad.

I costi considerati sono le Spese Correnti, cioè il totale dei costi ricorrenti sostenuti dal sottoscrittore del fondo durante l’anno.
Le Spese Correnti includono anche i costi meno trasparenti, come le commissioni di collocamento (tipiche dei fondi a cedola) e quelli relativi agli strumenti in cui il fondo è investito (ad es. i certificati).
Grazie al confronto tra Spese Correnti e commissioni di gestione, Angel Costi è in grado di indicare anche un segnale di allarme nel caso in cui i costi meno trasparenti siano elevati.

Nel metodo di comparazione utilizzato, le Spese Correnti vengono confrontate con l’Indice dell’attività di gestione, che misura quanto siano attive le scelte del gestore rispetto ai fondi concorrenti.
Più il gestore sceglie una composizione del fondo lontana da quella della media di categoria (cioè più si impegna per ottenere risultati migliori della media) e più l'indice sarà alto.
L’Indice dell’attività di gestione è approssimato dalla Tracking Error Volatility (TEV), che misura la volatilità della differenza tra il rendimento di un fondo comune e un indice di riferimento (che in Angel Costi è rappresentato dalla media della categoria di riferimento). In pratica, la TEV indica il potenziale valore aggiunto che il fondo è in grado di realizzare.

Angel Costs allows you to compare the costs of mutual funds with active management service. The goal is to understand if these costs are proportionate or not: in fact, the higher the higher costs should be the manager's job.
If the service is low and the manager made up a portfolio of investments by copying the market (passive management), costs must be contained.
Depending on the cost-performance ratio, each fund is positioned in one of four quadrants of the app, which identify situations where this ratio is proportionate or not: Star, Premium, Low Cost or Bad.
 
The costs considered are the current expenditure, ie the total recurrent costs incurred by the fund during the year subscriber.
The current expenditure also include less transparent costs, such as placement fees (typical of the funds in coupon) and those related to the instruments in which the fund is invested (eg. Certificates).
Thanks to the comparison of currents and charges management fees, Angel costs is also able to indicate an alarm signal in case of the less transparent costs are high.
 
In the method of comparison used, the current expenditure is compared with the Index of management, which measures how active the manager choices than competing funds.
Plus the manager chooses a fund composition far from that of the category average (ie more is committed to achieve better results than average) and the index will be high.
The Index of management is approximated by Tracking Error Volatility (TEV), which measures the volatility of the difference between the yield of a mutual fund and a reference index (which costs Angel is represented by the average of the reference category) . In practice, the TEV indicates the potential added value that the fund is able to achieve.
