Steel Weight Calculator

Computes weight of components based on dimensions. Using this app and a tape measure I can get an accurate weight prior to lifting a load with a forklift. This is a real safety device and takes the mystery out of handling heavy loads.

Only problem is while inserting length and breadth in inches for steel sheets thickness is known in mm so that is an issue it doesn't allow to enter thickness in mm if we chose inch system

Decent app, does the basics right - all the main shapes are covered, results are correct, usage comfortable - but needs more materials, custom density, sum of parts, and price wouldn't hurt either. What it has now would essentially get it 3 stars, but UI is so functional and so good looking, that it adds one by itself :)

I use it almost daily, and it's one of the few apps I'd hate to be without.

Am Structure designer. This app helps finish MTO/ BOM quick easily and effective.....Thanks vry much.....i now give to u all the the 5 stars....but am still expecting to see the metal surface area, so u will be champ of all metal calculators.

This is a very handy and ready reckoner for estimating weight of metal angles, channels and other sections used in the industry. It is very useful for engineers, metal workers as well as general public who wish to buy metal structurals for construction purpose.

Excellent working tool, accurate enough for info on job site. I'd recommend the payed version

I use this every day as a steel fabricator a d can't big it up enough. Saves me loads of time

Comparing it to steel construction manual (aisc) weight its a fraction off. Ie L3x2x1/4 this app gave me a weight of 64.66 while doing it off the manual i got 65.6

Didn't find any think related to MILD STEEL or GALVANIZED IRON.

Great to use at the steel yard to figure weights and costs!
