I think most people's issues are user error. I noticed that having the right angle or shot with the scanner makes a difference. Just pointing it at the page isn't always going to work. I think the app was well developed and the book is amazing. Thanks Scott, Thomas and their students for bringing us this gem.

I am recently getting errors where the h2dr app will mess up my camera, giving me a connection error, and making it unusable until I restart my phone. I'm on an LG-vs950 if that helps.

However, cant scan anything beyond first 2 pages because of Focus and no auto exposure on LG G4.

The book is great, but the app can't work normally on sony z5. I ONLY could stay at the start page. Also the logo is a very low resolution icon on my xperia z5.

Installed on a Samsung Note 3 Android running lollipop. No sound whatsoever on profile pic. Videos have sound, though.

I have the book but this doesnt work properly.

First tried using my HTC M8 One, only some AR hotspots would work. Others would not, this is consistent e.g. certain ones like the intro vid on page 8 just do not work on the M8 no matter how much you angle the phone etc. Switched over to my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 and the same vid works fine no problem. The only thing I can think of is that the M8 struggles to focus the camera which may cause issues for some hotspots, seems like software issue with the app as other apps can focus the camera fine.

Idea is super, was the reason for me to buy the book in the first place. But every time I find a video of the page lit gives me 2-3 minutes of black screen then loads the video incredibly slow. Impossible to watch. All other online videos work perfectly on my phone. Even the same videos from the book but if I find them on the YouTube app.

I want to change the video quality but i cant, and video in super high definition wont charge in my phone, please make sure to include a quality checkbox

This Book is so amazing. And the 3D models are beautiful. I can't handle this book. 10/10 would buy again.

I love the book and the app is such a great idea but it hardly ever works with my phone. The camera is extremely blurry and impossible to focus. Hopefully the app is updated soon to fix these issues.

The auto focus issues on older phones are gone. Streaming is silky smooth. The book is perfect without the app as you can access the vids without it. So don't fret if you have any lingering issues with earlier generation android kit. I'm now a proud owner of how to render and the companion app for that book can not come soon enough.

The app is awesome but it won't utilize my camera properly, picture is still fuzzy and as a result half of the links are not being detected

On a Dragon Touch 10.1 tablet. Quad core, 1gb ram, android KitKat. I had problems running it on anything without two cameras. Works beautifully now, just like the intro video of the book. .. One request, please post hardware specs of devices that DO work with it so its easier to shop. The book/ h2dr app was my motivation for getting a tablet in the first place.

Great app.. I used it for how to draw and how to render.

Wont install to sd card or phone. Gonna use the links on my pc

I am sure those with tablet sized screens will get the most out of it this. Not entirely convinced about its usefulness at the moment but its surely to the publishers credit they went the extra mile to gives us something extra.

This system is incredible. Sadly I dont have any sound when playing the Videos and they Auto-play and i cant get the play button out of the way. probably because of the google changes, cant wait to see it working completely. the idea alone is jaw dropping! 5 stars even if its not working

The book is good enough.however mr Robertson and mr Bertling went above and beyond to enhance the learning experience.

Some videos will not play

This is such a great companion learning tool for the book. Ill be looking through the book hours on end. Amazing app guys!

But when it was it was absolutely wonderful. Game-changing even. I mean 10 hours of video? That practically a ten week course/ semester in college. And it even includes the textbook. All videos are available online, if you own the book its on page 206

It's a cool app when it works, but any AR image that's just a line drawing (e.g. pg 31) simply will not show up no matter what I do (i.e. put it close to the light, change camera angle, change surroundings behind book). Also even though images with more values work better I still have to hold the camera at a funny angle to get them to work, and the camera is always blurry without some sort of focus. I like the app idea, but I just can't bring myself to give it 5 stars if it's not going to work as intended.

Not functioning on galaxy note but I know the issues still being adressed. At least all the videos are availabe on the h2dr website

The next step in seamless inspiration and learning with Media available. New facets created with the app's fluidity and reliability.

Camera is very blurry, no option for autofocus/manual focus. No application menu settings to configure the app. No sound coming from device. I can see video, but no sound. The video stops working if you move the camera a bit out of focus or your hand gets tired to hold the page up at a correct angle. At this point I might need to invest in a book stand with a bright light, a cell phone case and a tripod, and lip reading classes. Please have a way to continue watching a video without letting it die just because the camera adjusted or because I moved a bit. I am not able to click on a video that is playing on my phone and see the youtube pop-up.

It was able to scan & recognize Mr. Robertson and I was thrilled and amazed to watch the window move with the book page in real time, but the audio won't load and the program locks up after hitting the play button. It gets 2 stars for being cool & clever for 10 seconds and for being related to the most incredible art-learning book I have EVER purchased.

If you have any interest in learning to draw and sketch objects and environments from your imagination, then Scott's book is definitely for you! The videos which this app is tied to are amazing!

Great book but this app is total garbage. It displays the video on the page but refuses to load them. No error or crash, just doesn't load it up.
