HELIX Lock Screen for Android
This app requires the user to take multiple photos of his or her ear. This is a necessary and importnat step, but quite difficult considering you can't see the screen. Moving your hand perfectly horizontally from your head isn't as easy as it sounds, and the app is quite strict in what is consideres to be an acceptable attempt ot capture your ear. The scan of your ear must be aligned perfectly vertically with the ear lob at the bottom of the screen. After quite a few practice attempts, I finally completed 10 successful scans. However, even after all those scans Helix still couldn't idtenfiy my ear when I tried to log in. This app would be much more useful if it could recognize ear shapes better (tilted or otherwise). If I take a picture of my favorite coffee cup and tilt it, I can still recognize it as my favorite coffee cup. Without that kind of basic flexibiltiy in identifying ears, the usefulness of this app is greatly dimished.
This App not working with xiaomi Mi 4i, there is no response from scanner while scanning the ear, do i need to have any special sensor. please let me know.
I've been following this company since they first appeared on CES couple years ago. This new app they released uses the front camera and and your ear to authenticate you into your phone! It's easy and intuitive to use and a sleek design from Beta. My favorite feature is the ability to add scans.
