Design Wedding Ring

A wedding ring or wedding band is a finger ring, often made of metal, indicating that its wearer is married.[1] Depending on the culture, the ring is typically worn on the base of the left or the right ring finger.

The earliest examples of wedding rings were found in ancient Egypt. The Western traditions of wedding rings can be traced back to ancient Rome and Greece and adopted by Christendom in Europe in the Middle Ages.

A wedding ring can come in many forms, traditionally made of gold or some other precious metal.[2] Many people wear their wedding rings day and night, causing an indentation in the skin that remains visible even when the ring is taken off. Another indication of their cultural importance is that wedding rings are among the few items permitted to be worn by prison inmates and visitors.[3][4]
