Viz Profanisaurus

My son now has something to share every time he's called on in class. Wonderful app.

Have been buying viz for 25 years and this keeps me laughing daily when not reading the mag, top stuff. Would've gave it the full 5 stars but since it ain't been updated in 3 years with new stuff you can cram the 5th right up your balloon end(s).

Dunno if it's just me but the Lollipop seemed to break the clickable links (normally in bold text) when other terms are referred to in entries. Great app, mind!

Great app, provided much merriment at work trying to slip phrases into conversations and things like that... Seems light on some phrases next to the hard print "Das Krapital" however. Other than that, love it.

I'm a fan of Viz and have one of the Profanasaurus books, but this just isnt as funny. I find myself flicking for ages through words to find one worth a giggle. Not sure why I paid for it...

Just get it.. its so funny it makes laugh till my sides hurt!!

I've been a fan of Viz for more years than I care to remember and this app reinforces my pure love of it. Writing a letter to a valued customer? Writing a 4000 word dissertation? Stuck for a suitable word and find using a thesaurus dull? The Profanisaurus will have just the word you need - getting you sacked from your job as Prime Minister - or simply failing your degree - because the reader doesn't have a sense of humour (or because they are too f##king tight to spend the almost 2 quid). Pure genius!

Down to 1* as support email bounces. How rude! This app needs work, frankly. Then it would be good. Instead, it's crappy, though still funny. No hot-links within definitions leading to other definitions, so many explanations are incomprehensible. No world favourites as the connection to server fails every time. Poor design, not fitting for such an important reference work.

Should be updated as per the most recent version of the Viz. Only one update is last year.

Excellent fun . Lunchtime or any break in the day is good to thumb through these and try to have a quiet laugh but most times I find myself with tears in my eyes with laughter . Just my sort of humour thanks boys and well worth downloading

This is the funniest app/book ever written ....ever!!! Brightens up any dull day.

Barely suppressed inappropriate laughter almost guaranteed. Don't read during a slow funeral. Hyperlinking to referenced definitions would make it perfect.

The BEST app ever. Timeless non stop hilarity where ever and when ever you want it. A must have for potty mouth efficiandos!

I've never paid for an app before. I'm guessing my wife wishes i hadn't as she is getting fed up of the fits of laughter that result! This is SO funny, your life is not complete without this!

Quite possibly the best app I've ever downloaded.... Bored and feeling down ? Read through some of these and you will laugh like a deviant.....

I don't care about if its interface is easy to use, or if it should support Bluetooth or not... This brings the tear inducing humour of the Profanisaurus to my fingertips on my phone. Genius!

Read the paper version, but this is just so much more useful! Laughed until I couldn't breathe and the tears flowed. That's my excuse m'lud.

Mostly laugh out aloud and show the wife why I`m laughing. Some notes however when it is impossible to work out what is being described . . .

Works a treat on my galaxy nexus,gives me something else to read, apart from BBC news updates, while dropping the kids off at the pool. The cloud is a particularly nice touch.

A must have for anyone with an adult taste in humour. Never fails. Just going to look up a "pocket fisherman".

The software performs a licence check on every startup; no data connection, no app! It eventually stops working entirely.

Kill half an hour by reading through some random sayings and words I guarantee you will be pi $$ ing yourself laughing

Makes me laugh, every single time I open the app, must have taken a heck of a long time to make, way better than reading a dictionary!!

The material is hilarious, but the app has serious flaws. The search function is basically useless because it cannot find entries that are clearly in the database, e.g. it finds "Dog's Marriage" under marriage but not under dog or dog's. And it only searches the entry, not the whole definition, which limits its usefulness. Also, when you back out of an entry in 'A to Z' or 'search' it remembers where you were in the list, but back out of one of your favourites and it sends you to the beginning of your list.

I have read one of the entries and found nothing profound or indeed inspiring about it rather it to referred to the despised bodily function. I will certainly not be using it in my BBC Radio4 thought for the day and will consult with a community leader before venturing any further! Great stuff guys very inventive but where is the budby.

Always good to have a quick look through for a chuckle. Bought for the content, but the app is well designed and of good quality.

Never again will I be stuck for a filthy epithet or obscene adjective. A real boon to the serious writer. J. K. Rowling. Childish bad language? There's an app for that! Fantastic.

This is the possibly the best app on Play, true genius. This will make you laugh so hard every time you open it. Worth every penny, if you haven't got it buy it now you won't be disappointed.

There are plenty of obvious words here but don't let that put you off because there are a lot of gems that you can stumble across. An excellent way to waste a few minutes on a break that will have you laughing out loud and wanting more. Fantastic!
