G5 Alarm

App is ok, it does the basics but could be better and slicker. Annoying feature is the input keyboard covers areas to enter data but there is no way of scrolling the screen to select the covered items (eg when renaming the 10 zones, you select zone 1 to input the name and zones 6 to 10 are covered by the keyboard, you then cant select any of zones 6 to 10 to update.)

Not a bad app the camera can be a little tricky to setup. Once configured works well but needs to be able to record to the cloud or a NAS (Qnap) and to receive alerts for motion sensors during certain hours requires additional features to make it a true game player in the market. Also it would be excellent if there was a SOS button on the app to trigger the alarm. Need to focus on developing the app so listen to your customers. I have seen many reviews asking for the same features.

When you want to program something through the app, the sms messages you try to send from background fail. You have to go to the message application and send them manually. I have a nexus 6p. Another issue is that if the alarm is armed from the cell phone and then disarmed through the remote control or RFID, the app is outdated in an armed state. It is expected that when the app sets the alarm, any disarm that is not through the app is notified to the app by an sms so that the app has the possibility to update the status.

Poor UI. Poor UX. Doesn't update with the alarm control panel and vice versa. Doesn't recognise multiple numbers only the Admin number (so it simply doesn't work). Seriously, a bad app that doesn't do what it says on the tin.

Latest version fixed crash on exit (thanks!). Not the most intuitive of apps, but it works for me.

More option please.and why when recieve info sms there is password number and all stupid information?people need information about sensors if work fine and much more.g5 have very poor option for the price.

Please add the capacity to remove the SMS messages after being received.

Very hard to navigate. There could be more features. Seldom gets updated, never actually.

The app works fine for a few days, then it freezes the sms function in my alarm - it stops responding to my enquiries until I manually reset the alarm. Beware.

Got rid of some bugs all seems to work well for us! Oh and great customer service! :-)

Fantastic wireless alarm and app

If your in the USA, make sure your not using a cell phone service provider based on cdma frequency to store your number to the panel otherwise you will get "wrong input" reply, not letting you. Make sure you use gsm. It took me months to realize this was the problem.

The lens sign is confusing to get your settings. Lens normally means search. You need to comeup with a different icon such as seetins icon with a get under it settings with a question mark. I used the new passcode funtionality and it locked me out I thought if I uninstall the app it might let me in. I did that and it has now deleted all my settings and numbers grrrr....

You should add as optional message-sms-email alert when someone(and who, if it is done from the remote or nfc tag) activates or deactivate the alarm even if it is you! Hope it is done thank you!

Easy to use.

bad updates.. menu not smooth . layout very mediocre.. color scheme badly chosen. bring back old version please. much better with the old. if it aint broken, don't fix it. please do something..

Is ok, be better if app updated its settings rather than assume they haven't changed and the app needs to be password protected so someone stealing my phone can't deactivate my alarm.

Finally, the really annoying 3D-scrolling effect is gone. It was really difficult to change screens before this update.

The latest update has removed the "get settings" button. The button is now a camera button. No explanation for this!!!

Nice to manage the home alarm with my phone. Ui is mostly good, just a note to the missing settings button issue : it's now the magnifying glass icon on the top.

Great new features

Needs the check status of alarm reastablished. As you have no way of checking if it's armed or disarmed

I feel better knowing ill find out first that some scum bag has broke in my home first and can dispatch police quicker rather than hoping some neighbour can be bothered to look because the bell box is blaarring away...great app
