About Nuclear Kinetics (Free)
An easy to use tool that performs Nuclear Kinetics calculations. Intended for teaching purposes.
Simply select up to five radioactive isotopes, enter in initial amounts for each, select the amount of time and see the responses. A plot of the radioactive species, radioactivity, or radioactive power over time can be generated.
Instructions:
Select up to five radioactive isotopes on the first screen by selecting the element in the left most drop down menu. Then choose a specific isotope of that element using the drop down menu under the mass number column. Checking the box marked Source simulates generation of that isotope. Once all the radioactive isotopes are selected, tap the Next button.
The second screen is where the initial quantities or sources of all elements are entered. The drop down menus on the right side will change the units. When all initial values and sources are entered, continue by tapping the Next button.
The third screen is where the Response type is chosen by using the drop down menu towards the top of the screen. A description of each response type is given below:
Plot Elements: Plot the amount of each radioactive isotope over time
Plot Radiation: Plot the amount of radioactivity over time
Plot Radiation Power: Plot the radioactive power over time
Enter a time for the plot and choose the unit of time by using the appropriate drop down menu. Lastly, select the units for the response, as well as the response variable by using the drop down menus at the bottom of the screen. When this is ready, press the Next button to see the plot.
Under Settings, Plot Array Length selects how many points are shown in the plot. Plot Accumulation performs an approximate integration to see the total radioactivity or the total radiated energy over time.

Using a nexus 6 I plotted a chart but no amount of tapping, pinching, etc would let me zoom in to see it. Half the screen real estate was unused as well. Interface to set up chart is clunky.
