Delta Dental’s App gives you access to our most popular subscriber tools on your mobile device, now with all new navigation and design, and new tools including our Dental Care Cost Estimator and LifeSmile Score risk assessment survey.
Key features of the Delta Dental app include:
- Show your ID card at the dental office without getting out your wallet. The app provides access to your ID card as soon as you log in to the app, and the ability to save your ID card to the app home screen or your Passbook/Wallet so you don’t have to login at all. Even email your ID card to your dentist or a dependent right from our app. (Login required)
- Find out what to expect with our Dental Care Cost Estimator. Our easy to use tool provides estimated cost ranges for common dental care needs for dentists in your area. See what dentists charge both in and out of network for the most common dental treatments. (Login required, not available in all geographic areas)
-A dentist search tool that makes it easy to search for a dentist in your area. Search using your current location or input your home or work address. Your results can be filtered or sorted to help you find a dentist that suits your specific needs. -Find out how your smile scores. Our LifeSmile Score is a comprehensive oral wellness risk assessment tool. You are a few questions away from knowing your personalized risk profile for tooth decay, gum disease and oral cancer.
-Toothbrush timer makes brushing fun and helps you stick with it for the recommended two minutes. Listen to music as you brush and watch as the timer counts down your brushing time with a visual reminder to brush each section of your mouth.
Security
The Delta Dental App uses the latest security technology to protect your personal health information. You must enter your user name and password each time you access the secure portion of the app. No personal health information is ever stored on your device. For more details on security, our Privacy Policy can be viewed via a link on the Login page of the app. For security reasons this app is not supported on rooted devices.
TRICARE subscribers currently cannot access benefits and eligibility information on the Delta Dental app.
At this time, we do not support dual login for our member company sites located in IN, KY, MI, MN, MO, NC, NM, OH, OK, OR and TN. If you are a subscriber with one of these member companies, you will need to register for a new account in order to use the secure portion of the app.

The only good thing about this app is that, once you log in (if you can get that far) you can see the claims that have been submitted. Beyond that this app is useless! Your apparently able to tap on a claim and get all the info about it; doing this however causes the app to lock up and close down! For a company as large as Delta Dental I'm stunned at the lack of effort to make their app more stable, and if they are putting effort, it's not showing!

For it to be 21mg app, it is useless. My Bcbs was 1, and it feature rich. Your interface is harder than hearing cats. Your email is not in the right format, really. I hope you payout better and take care of your subscribers better than you build apps.

If I'm logging in to my personal account, way more useful than a 2 minute brush timer would be the ability to see my deductible and how close I am to meeting it, as well as where I'm at in relation to reaching my annual maximum. Also, it doesn't look like all of my claims for the current year are listed. These should be standard features. Are they hiding somewhere that I don't see?

Update shows an option for fingerscan login, makes it secure fast login. I would suggest to stand out claims button, that's what anybody's primary purpose to use this app.

I instantly installed this after it was trying to make me scroll all the way through EACH month and year to get from 2016 to 1974... If the developer of this app was this stupid in such a drastic design flaw then I will only assume all the rest of the negative complaints about this app is valid. Goodbye.

If I could give this app a ZERO I would. After entering all my account data I get to the birthdate field. MM/DD/YEAR. Simple, right? NOT!!! There's a pop-up calendar, and you are forced to scroll backwards MONTH BY MONTH until you reach your birth month AND YEAR. AWKWARD! This would be BAD ENOUGH if you're a Millennial, but if you're a BOOMER, it's truly an ordeal! So I did, but after I've gone through all of that, it came back with something was invalid. GRRRR. So I tried again: SAME THING!

When I try to log in for the first time, I get an error message saying my account is locked out. I know this is not true because I can log in just fine online using my phone's browser or a desktop. I also checked and rechecked that I used the right username and password.

I'm not sure how Delta Dental's engineering team is managed, but I would recommend that everybody stop working on little new features and enhancements, and actually figure out what is causing the "Unable to fetch data from server. Please try again." error. Nobody will care about "log in with touch ID" and "save five preferred dentists" if they literally can't log into the app.

Just like their website, lots of eye candy but little in functionality. Lacking basic features and some of the navigation is awkward.

Can't login. Valid credentials just turns an error saying "Unable to fetch data from server. Please try again." In searching for this error, it looks like it has been a problem for over a year!
