Europrog 2

Worked on my Nexus 6 but not very nice app. Many functions missing. I am surprised there is no software update. My thermostat does sometimes seems to be in a loop. The motor goes back and forward. I suspect the regulation algorithm is badly implemented.

App gets better, still switching between rooms is too long. Second device in same virtual room doesnt always respond to temp change. Pairing is easier as now one can only pair to nearest one, which makes it easier to add 5 new. Why not show actual temperature readout from all rooms? Know it will consume battery but its trendy to show graphs (optional).If you leave one phone with teamviewer installed you will be able to control temperature from out of home. 2017/Sep app doesnt connect after update, Devices are unsecure as are loosing pin after battery change.

The measured zone/room temperature - one of the most important data - is not shown at all. No overview of all zones/rooms, only data of one thermostat can be shown at the same time. Skipping to next thermostat takes too much time. No temperature logging, no graphics like temp vs. time. More issues 2017 December 03: Sometimes when updating, no error message tells the user that the data were not successfully sent to the unit. Full names of stored profiles can not be seen before loading. If time interval is defined from 00:00 to 24:00, the software interprets it as off instead of on all the time. Is there an alternate software or open project?

Good once you get used to it. Was a bit tricky when trying to add 3 devices. Had to take battery out the other two. Discovered later that it is possible to change the blutooth names. Range seems to be very good. Downsides are the time it takes to connect and the battery on one device is shown at 0%.

Either the unit from lidl is useless, or the program. You can not save your settings and it keeps asking to save a new pin every time it starts. 30% savings, as lidle claims is thus gone. I will return the unit. Why, does Europrog not reply in English? International market players should be able to do that. - very poor!!

App liest Einstellungen vom Thermostat, aber es schickt sie nicht zum Thermostat. Nutzlos. Beschreibung der App im Handbuch signifikant anders, als die eigentliche App. Kein "Speichern" möglich. Obwohl alles programmiert ist, scheint das Thermostat nur die eine aktuell eingestellte Temperatur zu verwenden - keine "Automatik" nach Zeit. Ärgerlich.

Progmatic Blue ist schwierig zu pairen und ist nicht wieder zu finden.

Tut schon irgendwie das was es soll, einen durchdachten oder stabilen Eindruck macht die App aber nicht. Ein paar Eindruecke: 1. Der "Fimware Update Check" tut auf meinem Nexus 5x nichts erkennbares (abgesehen von sporadischen Abstuerzen der App) 2. Auf der Oberflaeche ist nicht immer erkennbar, was gerade passiert: Beim Auswaehlen eines Raumes erscheint erstmal etwas, das wie ein Template aussieht, bis dann irgendwann (falls alles geklappt hat) die aktuell eingestellte Temperatur angezeigt wird. Eine "richtige" Statusanzeige waere hier wuenschenswert (nicht nur diese kurz aufpoppenden, relativ inhaltsleeren Meldungen) 3. Beim Oeffnen des Temperatureinstellungsdialogs werden erstmal "dummy"-Werte angezeigt, bis die tatsaechlichen Daten vom Geraet geladen wurden. Das irritiert. 4. "Windows open detection": Threshold: low/middle/high. Was sagt mir das? Alles in Allem wirkt die App an einigen Stellen etwas traege, was sicher (zumindest zum Teil) am Bluetooth LE liegt.

Need to have the current temperature shown on App and good if the temperature could be displayed on the controller itself. Otherwise it's difficult to know if the setpoint chosen is suitable, as the controller is not necessarily perfectly calibrated.

Does not connect to thermostats

I bought six of these. The good: Once configured they are quite nice to use. The bad: Configuring is labour-intensive and the software is needlessly causing extra work. Once working: usage is quite pleasant. The programming options are very similar for both versions of Europrog, but I prefer Europrog 2 for its ease of operation. The following flaws need improvement: 1. It is impossible to "forget" and "reconnect" a device. A big problem, because if anything goes wrong you have to wipe all data (Android) or uninstalll/re-install (iOS). With 6 devices and 5 mobile devices that is not funny. 2. the pin should be remembered like the programs as user-cofigured when the battery is changed, This is a major problem if you have 2 devices in a room and you change the battery on only one. The app will keep asking for the pin because the pins have become dfferent. 3. When scanning the names should be displayed with the bleutooth-mac address so you can tell the difference. Currntly I get a list of indistinguishable devices. Overall: I like the possibilities, but the configuration part of the software is a big bugbear,
