Vegan Gluten Free Scanner for Android
The app works great, scans easily, gives lots of info when it can, but the database needs to be increased. It would be great if you could get info on Trader Joe's, Walmart, and Aldi foods also. Keep adding foods and it'll be magnificent!
Very limited to what you can scan. In canada and the USA. Needs to be updated. Scan items that are clearly marked gluten free and shows up product not found. That is products from Canada and the USA. I thought I found a app that could help, but as usual a disappointment.
Is great except it does not work in Canada. Please expand to Canada and Canadian products this would be such a significant help and awesome product if I was able to use it. Let me know when you do and I will be happy to use your app.
Latest version fails to run on my S6 or Nexus 6 despite me resetting and re-installing. Also, when it did work, it would frequently ask me to rate it despite having already done that.
Tells me exactly what I want to know and the scanner actually works compared to some of the other apps I've tried. So happy.
I don't think this app is honest I checked a fruit juice at Walmart and it said it had meat in it??? How!? I've checked Peta's list it says its vegan. Always do your research guys before cutting stuff out because of this app
I am taking back my 4 stars. The scanner refuses to work, no matter how many times I restart my phone and uninstall/reinstall the app.
I just tried it on my Santitas tortilla chips...yeah Gluten free !! I'll save money not buying the expensive tortilla chips from the Gluten Free section at the grocery store...cha-ching It does need more products added to keep up with what's in the stores.
I scanned multiple items and only 1 had results. There is 334 thousand products and sara Lee blueberry bagels were the omly ones that had a result.
This is a user friendly app and would be 5 star if the database contained more products. Keep up the good work!
Its a great app with a wonderful concept! But it would be nice if when a product showed that it contained meat, eggs, dairy that over in the ingredients list it would bold highlight the ingredients that have milk, eggs meat in it, because i scanned frosted flakes and it said it had meat in it??
You should be able to input the ingredients for any item that is not found that way it creates a database for everyone.. data is limited
I can't even use the App. It keeps telling me that the Android camera is not right.... something like that. Tells me to restart my phone which I've done twice. Had high hopes..
Works fast, no holding scanner up, down, close, far. Gives complete information. Very pleased
Doesn't work anymore. Can open it, can scan, but no results and just asks for a rating that I already gave a long time ago.
It's not perfect but nothing is 5 Stars, works well on most things.
The three items I tried to scan are not in the system... perhaps the data can be updated similar to how MyFitnessPal Works which has millions of items
Doesn't have every product I scanned, but has some of the products which is useful
Perfect app for a starter vegan or if you just want to know what is in your food.
only scanned 5 items but do far so good
This app seems to be missing a LOT of what I need to check.
Not sure how i they go about adding products or whatever but its a cool app for the products that are in its database.
I like it so far. I hope it's accurate.
Very inaccurate. will never get again.
Scanned multiple different codes and none have worked. Uninstalling now
Awsome app just needs more products.
Makes it alot easier
Easy to use and helpful to identify veg foods
So far of the 5 items scanned only one was in their database
Crashes on camera, Nexus 5x
Very happy with this app.
Not many items listed i have in my cabinet
Scanner can't open the Android camera!
Pretty good.
Swell!
Nice App
Really handy
great
Scan a product and it shows you pictures. Are these pictures of what the product does or does not contain?

The app works great for products that, I assume, aren't regional. Also, many of the products that PETA lists as vegan often come up as containing dairy and meat/seafood products. If I scan a product and it comes up containing meat or dairy, I always check PETA's website. Always double-check.
