About WordShift
WordShift is a text-changing tool. This means that it is a tool specialized for the quick search of specific words or phrases that will then be swapped with a different word or phrase as specified by the user.
Simple enough.
The WordShift interface is divided in two main parts, each taking half of the screen.
The text:
Here is where you will paste the text that you want to search in. It may be of any length, WordShift will handle it. This part also includes a "copy to clipboard" button that you may use after you have completed a "Shift" to copy your new text.
The parameters:
Here you will give the details that WordShift will use to complete a shift. You can input a "change from" which will be what WordShift looks for in the text and a "change to" which will be what will be inserted in the text in the position where the "change from"s were before. This part also includes a "Shift" button that you may use when you want to do a shift.
More info:
-WordShift is not limited to only words. You can change single characters, words and even complete phrases.
-WordShift is only tested to detect alphanumeric text. In other words, latin letters and arabic digits. You may insert text that includes other character sets but they will either not be detected by WordShift or give irregular outputs.
Advanced functionality:
-If you want to change a word or character, only when it is by itself and not a compound part in another word then you can specify this to the app by adding an asterisk (*) at the beginning of the change from field.
For example, if you have the phrase 'Red Ed', by typing just 'Ed', both words will be affected. But if you type '*Ed' then the word red will be unnafected and only 'Ed' will be changed.
