DDB2 Music Player for Android
Deadbeef is my favorite music player for Linux. when i learned the developer had an android player, i immediately tried it out. i was not disappointed. the UI is clean and uncluttered. the feature set is exactly what i need, with one exception (if i am wrong please correct me). while you can organized items within a playlist, there seems to be no way to organize playlists (alphabetically, for instance). they're simply organized in the order in which they're added. as an old-school desktop user, with a great deal of music, organized into folders, i have a large number of playlists. the ability to organize playlists would improve the UI greatly. thank you for your hard work. edit: i realize that you can sort the tracks within a playlist, what i'm getting at, is that you can't organize the playlists themselves. thanks for the quick response.
Probably the best mobile audio player. Handles lots of formats and has great mixer.
Best ui
Awesome player. Also using DDB on Linux:)
The application crashes when trying to add files to the library, meaning that I've never actually mansged to play anything yet! I've reported these crashes too!
Used to work flawlessly, last couple of updates made it a piece of ****
Great equalizer
Sound quality is great just like original deadbeef (only USB audio player pro can beat it) and requires very few permissions. No smb or upnp support still, however. I also hate the in-app purchase model. Good thing I had already purchased a deadbeef key, which the developer kindly made work for ddb2.
Best player for Android. Used to use first version for a more than 2 years, now switched to second – was impressed by updated UI. The one feature I've missed in first version is preamp for tracks with RG info, but seems that it doesn't work on my device :( Also, it would be great to add option to disable controls widget on the locked screen – it's easy to misclick buttons while the phone is in the pocket. Anyways, thanks for the app. Love to see the future improvements.
Awesome app. Great sound a and easy to use. Just like the old one yet better. Wish for a pay version to get rid of the ads. Same price as the old would be great.
Great app. Too bad can't get the last.fm scrobbler to work =/
Great descendant of great music player. Everything is perfect but one small thing. It misses widget that was available for previous version. I hope new widget will be available shortly.
The only thing I need is a lockscreen widget. Or for the old DeaDBeeF to find my SD card in my new J7 prime. Suggestions?
Good player. I would be happy to see theming option (or simple changing the default colors) and widget.
Please support control button when using some android dark theme, thank you so much!
I can't change the order of songs like with deadbeef which is a huge minus.
Waiting for SACD Audio like dsf , dff support.
AWESOME SOUND BUT TERRIBLE UI. That's it. That's all.
superb sound quality.....nice player wonderfull
No sleep timer
No widget
Verry best player.
Last 4 releases would not start on my Motorola xt1033. It is the only app I ever had which would not start. Android 5.1
The best one
An awesome player all around. Simple to use and sounds amazing. And the regular updates show the care put into this app.
Looks like it could be a great music player, unfortunately does not support OPUS files which is how I encode all my music.
I used Euphoria dark theme and can not see the button control on the notification widget. Pls fix it, thanks!
Early days but I quite like it so far. Is displaying album art coming, or is that not a planned feature?
Even after update it dosnt pause when i make a call ?!!
App doesn't like to turn off. why no shutdown app button? Also if I put music on pause it automatically goes back on. That aspect stinks! Drives me nuts that it will start blaring with volume! Not great for ears! Still plays music the best for gapless!
thanks for the lock screen controls implementation, and seamless switch to DDB2 for deadbeef pro users
Less features (at least at the moment) than old version, and ugh material design - ever more pressing and scrolling for ever less content and control. But at least we know the original will never get requested features and can search for another player with a peace of mind
Small UI elements on Nexus 5X are resolved. Best offline snd open source fast player around.
I have ~2-3000 songs I have from old CDs. I don't mind paying for DDB2 it IS worth it at least now it has a lock screen control, my pebble now shows tracks on the screen, and the compact playlist is welcomed. It works similar to the pc version imo. Edit: scroll is a heckin fast... and this is now my default player again.
Hey good software. Better android clone of foobar2000 than the foobar2000 port itself. Good to know that now this has a built-in last.fm scrobbler plug-in. It has a bug though: a buffer for when the phone is off-line. It only works on-line and the off-line scrobbles are always lost. I would love to see an open-source license in the future so I can fix these bugs myself. Keep on the good work.
Needs album image support and the option to pause after track. From the previous product deadbeef, for my needs, this is less useful
Very nice and simple player. Big plus for this player is the ability to stream web radio stations as tracks in seperate playlist so I can change between my own music and radio without mixing them.
