Playa Control for Winamp(R)

Its quality is its simplicity. You can search your current playlist or your library, which is enough. It's fast compared to other apps that are slow and clunky (such as aWARemote or RemoteControl). Its appearance is not too good but it's clear and it just works. One downside is no support for the covers embedded in FLAC files. The app is not developed anymore so I guess we'll have to enjoy it like it currently is forever.

I like the small form factor of the winamp plugin (no client application required), but it fails to sync playlist and library. Only play controls work. Also, UI is horrible.

Used to work great. Now it no longer shows the playlist, even after downloading latest pluggin for the computer. Please fix this issue

I don't know why people are not interested in this app. I have tried many other applications, but I had too many complications. This app is an easy way to set up and it actually works.

As others have said, needs a better way of queuing up the next song. If you're on shuffle the current method is no use. Other than that good and I would pay if the queuing was sorted so it could use winamps built in system.

Great app only one issue - can't launch or close winamp using the remote. Everything else is perfect - top app! 5 stars when launch/close functionality added!

A must-have app for every Winamp user. Has a few bugs, but overall good app.

Works great, easy to setup and it's Free! Minor annoyance - buttons are really big on a tablet.

I plug my Sennheiser wireless headphones into the computer and can wander around my house and garage listening to music all controlled by my Galaxy S3. Playlists have to be done manually but everything else is great!

This is a great app. this is the most used app on my phone out side of message. if Yamaha had a android app for their mixers this app would become the most used app. Helps me Control what songs and play list are coming up next with out having to stay by the computer.

easy to set and use! try manual settings in the app if not detected by phone automatically. thats it!

Exactly what I was looking for, and it just works. No frills, easy configuration (none). What more to expect from a free app? Currently running on two tablets, and no conflicts occur.

A minor suggestion would be to be able to start winamp if it's closed, also the search bar stays at the top of the list, even when you scroll down, it should always be on the screen

I can control my music now anywhere in wifi range! Looks good on a tablet or on a smartphone. Impresses the heck out of everyone who sees it. I'm running Winamp on the pc connected to a big screen and the stereo, using SQRsoft cross fader plug in on Winamp. This remote gives me the complete package.

recently I updated my PC OS to Windows 8.1. installed all update from Microsoft... still now it's not working... disabled firewall. but it's works great on Windows 7... please help me out....

I was setup and ready to go in 10 mins! Can try adding voice recognition on device :)

This app controls winamp perfectly and with no delays. It requires a plugin in winamp on your computer, but once you do that, it's flawless. Only thing I could think to add would be more sorting options in the library (like by genre), but other than that it's perfect

Does exactly what it advertises with very little setup.

Sometimes list clears and there's nothing that can be done. Controls still work.

Doesn't work. Shows the playlist. And that's all what it does. Crashes winamp. Downloaded and deleted it after 10 mins

It's perfect , but if you can add timing in the list....

Works without any hassle! Those who aren't really getting their playlist I think they'll just need to disable the Firewall once so that the app gets the data. Then you can go back to enabling firewall (or make an exclusion), controls will still work on the app:) Seemlessly syncs about 1500 songs in a playlist so thats a high 5 from me!

Awesome! I am a product manager for a software firm and this is the best thing I have seen in years! 5 minutes to setup and I was in the backyard in the pool controlling my media pc.

No landscape? Some people use tablets you know...not everyone has android 2.0 phone with 2inch screen.,

I've been looking for something like this for a long time. Instant control and a simple setup. Just had to allow winamp through firewall. Thanks a lot for this app!

Works great right off the box!

Basic black and white winamp controls. Needs color, customization of UI. Also lock screen and drawer controls too. But it works flawlessly first try.

Had this on older android phones, so good easy to use

this is an amazing app but lacks a good widget! there are only two controls in the widget! play/pause and fwd track! :| If the widget has all the basic controls + if the volume buttons of the phone are in sync with the app then its wonderful! Also please change the User interface!!! :D make it a little interesting! Wonderful App though! :) loved it! i always wanted an app like this! :D i would definitely give this app 5 stars if the changes are made! :)

I'm looking for an app that will do proper file queuing - not just move the file beneath the current file in the playlist. WinAmp has a beautiful enqueue feature (Alt+q), why can't this app utilize that instead of moving the song beneath the currently playing song in the playlist? This is a pain because as you're looking through your playlist and finding songs to play and "Enque" one, the song moves from where it is in the playlist to a new location (below the currently playing song), messing up any order you have in your playlist. It would be nice to have a separate screen with your queued songs, and allow you to move the songs around in your queue, while keeping your playlist as is and just play songs from your queued list if you create one. Fix this and I will give it 5 out of 5... If anyone knows of an app that will do what I'm looking for, let me know, but this one doesn't do this yet, hope it will in the future... I'd gladly pay for that feature if it would work well.
