RPGenius: Character Sheets for Android
Not only is the app easy to use for Savage Worlds, but the developer of the app is super helpful when you have stupid technical problems like I do. Small caveat: saving to google drive seems useless. Email yourself character sheets if you want to open them on multiple devices with the least hassle! Still, overall a great app, and an awesome developer. A highly reccomended buy!
This app is great in theory, except that I can't get the first section of a basic character sheet built without the app crashing to home screen or saving corrupt files for my character sheet.
A bit of a learning curve but once you figure it out it fits any Pen and Paper RPG out there. Excellent job.
Love this app. So nice to be able to customize your character sheet.
I use this for my gaming group and we use a custom house system, and ad&d. This allows me to make custom sheets for both and share them to my players. Great gaming aid. The developer is very helpful. In all this is worth every penny. Works on phones tablets or even androidx86 pc's. It's so robust it out does even single game focused character apps.
This app is actually very good in comparison to other apps that I have used for character creation. I code computer software and apps as a hobby and hopefully as a career so I found the code sourcing layout for formulaic design very useful. I would give this app 5 stars but there is still only one problem and I am not sure whether I just can't find it or whether or not I can edit it or not but here goes: is there a way to change the variable names in association for their values? Please respond
There is a bit of a learning curve, but with a few hours spent messing around its actually quite powerful. Well done!
All my friends are jealous at how powerful my character sheet is. I'm the only person who doesn't mess up rolls or needs a pen and paper. Significantly faster with less work and more intuitive than even my friends using laptops. I can copy and paste all the definitions and rules directly into buttons for easy long press access. I hope every savage world player discovers this app. Note to users, I recommend donating, you know this developer can't charge what its worth in this ecosystem.
Thank you for the quick update. Honestly the best app for D&D. I brought it over a few times and now all my friends are putting it on their phones. Thanks for making an app that really represents android. Full open source building. The update response for fixes is great. Really impressed by the speed of the developer
This app is actually unusable, it crashes every time I try to edit a stat or change a field, not sure why/how it is working well for others, but it sure isn't for me.
The "template" for the Savage Worlds does not actually calculate anything. It's not really helpful. I'll stick to the self calculating Excel generators...
Wonderful app, lots of room to make it pretty much anything you need it to be. Unfortunately, the inherent screenspace/data entry issues presented by running this on a phone (even a large-screen device) make this a poor choice for me, as the device interface makes creating/modifying/navigating all the variables and menus painful. These issues are not the creator's fault, and I'm sure I'd love this on a PC or tablet where typing and scrolling are less of an issue.
App downloads indefinitely without finishing
App is definitely Awesome. With enough ingenuity can do almost anything. Need the ability to enter decimals but otherwise great. there any chance you can make an iPhone version of this?
Some instructions would be nice.
I play in heavily house ruled games and several different rule sets: D&D 3.5, AD&D 1e, WoD, PF, Qin... This app can be used for all of them. There is a slight learning curve but worth the night of messing around with it to figure it out. I would have been stuck using a pdf on my new tablet for my character sheets if not for this app. I can't believe this was so hard to find - when I bought my tablet I was assuming that there would be tons of character sheet apps out there like this but most of them are very limited or only work with a particular rule set. Then they don't alow for house rules and who has a game without house rules? I love the linking feature because I can link my special abilities, spells and items to on-line wiki to get more info as needed. Buy the app, mess with it for a few hours, and you can return it if you don't like it. I believe it's well worth the cost.
Awesome update. Love this app.
Would be nice to have some IF statement functionality built in. Or if variables could be set to Strings, for example, my Axe might have an extra d6 of fire damage, but my sword might not, how do I display this difference of damage, a trailing string value when displaying damage would work. Example might be [MeleeDiceCount] D [MeleeDiceDam] [StrMod] [StringExtraDamage] in this example [StringExtraDamage] would contain "+1 d6 Fire" and a default value of blank so it would not be displayed unless enabled.
I like the look, and so far so good, but some kind of how-to would be appreciated. Still, think this one looks worth the price.
Updating to a 4 star review base on the really quick response from the developer. Still the first day since the update but so far the bugs I had found have not shown up. This is definitely the best character sheet app I've used. I do have a suggestion/ idea though; if there was a way do dynamic text (or maybe just allow a stat to also be a string) then it would be even better. There have been a few times already where this would be useful (e.g., using effects as weapons and having it be able to set what type of damage the weapon does, creating energy resistance or damage reduction without having to create separate stats for each type of energy or material, etc)
Great app, would rock if a die item were available so you could roll a skill by formula just by tapping it but it's the best character sheet I've found that works for any system.
Finally! A character sheet app that can cover everything. The addition of formulas is great, I think I can cover everything I'm likely to need now!
A bit time consuming to set up, but its exactly what I've been looking for. Would like the ability to create templates, as opposed to making new copies of blank char sheets when making a new char for a different system.
Finally! A character sheet app that can cover everything.
While I don't care for the looks within the app the power of the app is great. Can make a character with shape very easily!

Needs an instruction manual. I may not be patient enough but when it says genius, it really takes one to understand what it's trying to have you do at the beginning
