Safelog Pilot Logbook

I've been using Safelog since I started flying in 2003, initially just the PC app and later on the Android app as well. I love the app, it provides everything you'd expect from a logbook, but it is obvious that the people developing it knew what pilots need - various types of currency, filling out 8710 toward a practical test - whatever you need, Safelog got your back. These days I log my flights on Safelog, and my paper logbook is usually way behind on these, every few month I play catchup and write down the missing flights. I wholeheartedly recommend this app.

This is THE pilot log book!

Mostly satisfied. Used it for a month and decided to purchase a lifetime subscription, I do not regret that. It's been convenient for entries and data import was fairly simple. What am I not satisfied with? On Android, the app crashes frequently-- usually after I have entered most of the information for a flight. Sometimes it saves the info, sometimes not. I would like a simpler user interface- the "like a real logbook" is a bit of a gimmick, and worse means that I often have to scroll on TWO sets of scrollbars to see all the corners of the logbook. Also, with the redraw it takes a significant amount of time to change between pages. Since this is storing info as a database, I would love the opportunity to use a basic spreadsheet interface to minimize lag and complication. Overall satisfied.

Good idea, doesn't work. It failed, froze and went on loop on many occasions even in demo! Too pricey for too little

Android app is OK but Windows app is horrible. High time for a universal Windows companion app.

installed the app. it looked good while setting it up. then when I opened it it crashed. shut it down opened it again and it crashed again. went online and visited the website , I went to my account and it looked fine bit as it started displaying my log book page the screen just went blank. I looked on the web page for an email contact as I want to import my previous log book hours but no email contact. so I think not

The app is slow to respond to inputs and is geared toward non professional flying. It is also quite frustrating getting the formating correct to print out your logbook.

No more paper logbook! Great app which offers great flexibility and options. 5/5 !

Disrespectful treatment After buying the subscription for a year, in order to migrate all the data from my logbook of another app to Safelog and not achieve it in a satisfactory way for a bad service to the client. After several attempts to solve this inconvenience request to cancel the subscription and ask me to return my money. I received a call from the supposed owner of the company who treated me in a very disrespectful and haughty way. He said that he would not give me back my money and I throw the phone without giving me any solution.

App has glitches, but they can be lived with. A good value if on a budget. A direct support request easy to use option within the app would be nice. Latest update BROKE the app setup function... Presents you with website login screen no matter what you do.

So what we're the changes? It is the same old gumph on every update! Come on don't keep it a secret.

Getting better with each update. Discovered the RosterBuster compatability which is a great feature. If I could figure out the best way to turn scheduled flights into logged flights quicker, it would be even better! Still very occasionally hangs or crashes during data entry. Hence one star off.

I reviewed the app before. I'm more happy now after several updates have been come out so far. Because I believe this is the best app in the market, finally I'll give it 5 star review. Please keep it the best in the market.

I tried several others, but decided on this. After several discussions with users of a major competitor, they are debating switching.

This version much better for FLT entries. However the Android version does not appear to sync with PC or IOS Ipad. Upgraded phone to SNote4 and reinstalled app but any new flights are not seen on my ipad or PC versions. There is a note but its not clear why this shouldnt work once a sync is done.

Dropped a star because latest update resized the icon to tiny and unreadable. Looks silly.

Great app all around with many features that we all can use except I ask Please add a one button press function to get a 30/60/90 (6 months, one year also) day lookback of all totals. Would be so helpful with having instant information like that!

Problems with the last update fixed within 48hrs, and over a weekend too. Great product support. Not a massive fan of some of the changes to the look of the app. I'll maybe get used to them tho

Well, I can't give much of a review because I signed up for the trial to see if this electronic logbook worked for me. I entered in 10 flights, the limit, and attempted to look at the logbook afterwards and the program has locked me out until I pay. How am I supposed to get a feel for the logbook if I can't even access it after 10 flights have been entered? As of now, I'm not buying it.

I've been looking for a replacement for Logbook Pro for a while due to their business practices and I've finally found it. I fly a lot as an airplane pilot, and I find Safelog to be the most powerful logbook program out there. The app has a few minor annoyances, but nothing too bad. They seem to release frequent updates, so I am excited to see what they will come out with in the future.

I renewed my subscription for three years, but my program has not opened yet.why?

I have to say I am very impressed with this software, it didn't take long to figure out how to use it everything is very well explained, the app could use some visual touches but over at 5 stars thank you very much.

I've been looking for a good, reasonably priced pilot log book software for over 5 years. This is very easy to setup and use, very readable and unbeatable in price for value. Customer service is better than any I've experienced. I needed to have a 10yr old Captain's Log 2000 e-file converted. The file was done in less than an hour, but a gentleman (Steve) at Dauntless, noticed it wasn't quite right and initiated a call to me to fix the issues. That's very rare and greatly appreciated. Highly recommended.

I give one star for printing styles but it has some problems with A4 size paper , another star for summaries and filtering the results, one more start because it supports all the platforms, I don't give a star because it's painful slow, it missed another star because sometimes quick summary is wrong.

How can people rate this less than 5 stars? This logbook is amazing, you can customise every aspect of it, it has schedule import capability, it's possible to attach scans, signatures or whatever to any flight, tons of print out options and sync across many devices is perfect. It does take a while to set up to your liking, but that is because the software is extremely flexible and can satisfy every pilots need. Worth every cent.

Subscription issue sorted in an instant. Perfectly customizable to allow you to basically input anything into your logbook. Worth every penny.
