Institute Attendance Manager

IAM(Institute Attendance Manager) or SAM (Smart Attendance Manager) is a unique way to maintain the daily attendance track of students of an Institute. This application targets all types of institutes such as schools, colleges etc. This application works together with "Eco Friendly-Save Tree" theme by reducing the paper work by managing attendance via your phone. It's an answer to maintain students' records and their attendance efficiently by the teacher responsible for the class. The teacher need not maintain a register for every class. This eliminates manual effort and time to maintain paperwork.

Depending on the number of classes owned by the teacher, he/she can add the class details along with the institute details. This feature eliminates duplication and improves efficiency of the data to be managed. If a new class is allotted to the teacher, he/she can easily add the new class details and start managing students' records on the fly. He/She can also easily remove a class detail for which he/she does not wish to keep the track for future.

**Features**

* User can add new class details along with institute details for which students' records need to be maintained. Any number of classes can be added for which respective cards will be created on the application first page. User can scroll down to see the complete list.

* On adding a class in the database, an excel sheet is created in the storage of the phone. User can add students' records (Student name and Roll Number) manually in the sheet created. To load the students' data in the database, user can use the "Import Student" option to load the sheet in the database.

* Other way to add student data directly without importing sheet is via "Add Student" option . User can add 'Student Name' and 'Roll Number' and can click on the 'Add' button. The student data is added in the database one by one. When the user has successfully added all the records, he/she can click on 'Exit' button to go back to the menu option. This option can also be used to add a student detail in future for the same class, if there is a new student enrolment.

* After adding students' details in the database, user can click on "Mark Attendance" option to mark the attendance for all the students for a selected date. A calendar will be opened with current date selected by default. User can change the date selection. After date selection, each student's name and roll number appears on screen with 3 buttons(Present, Absent, On Leave), where user can click on any button as per the availability of the student. The Attendance record is saved for all the students of the selected class in the database.

* If a user wants to generate a report for the attendance record of the students for any given month, he/she can select the "Generate report" option from menu selection popup window. A window with month and year selection option is shown where user can select the month for which he/she wants to generate the report. Report is saved in the SD card storage of the phone.

*If a user wants to delete the class detail, student details and attendance record for that selected class, from the database, he/she can select the "Delete Record" option. This option will remove all the details and the entry of the class from the database.
