About PassMaker
PassMaker generates reasonably strong passwords, for the common case: you are visiting a web site and suddenly they ask you to register. Being in a hurry, many people just use the same old password, or make up a weak password like "fluffy". Strong passwords (and using a different one for each web site) are good ways of increasing the overall security both of your own data and of the internet as a whole.
PassMaker lets you choose upper case letters, lower case letters, or numbers (by default it uses all three to give stronger passwords); however the numbers 0 and 1 are excluded as experience shows that they are commonly confused with similar-looking letters on the virtual keyboard.
The generated password can be copied to the clipboard, and can also be explicitly removed from the clipboard to prevent other programs (including browser JavaScript) attacks that grab the clipboard contents.
