Daroon Player

Thank you developers for producing a media app that does not require Phone Call Identity permission. I've been searching for this. Future updates should include the ability to do background play. Currently, if you go to your phone's home screen while it's playing a song it stops playing. Also a widget would be great.

Also when the screen is off. It's called multi-tasking and I don't know how no one else has recommended this feature. Add these two simple feature and I'll give you five stars because there isn't another player that offers them.

No sound on the ASUS Prime TF201 when playing my own ripped DVD. Checked all settings and rebooted too. Noticed another "Google User" also has same problem. Uninstalled and successfully using the Wondershare Player.

Installed it on my new S3 and it crashed the first time I used it. Deleted it immediately. But reinstalled it due to lack of alternatives. Found out it did work on a full copy of the DVD I wanted to watch. Gives some control on the DVD-menu, but for sure allows you to choose spoken language and subtitles. Recognizes folders with DVD copies.

The only thing which makes me not use this app is because you can't play mp3 in the background. if you try to open any other app or just exit the app screen the player will stop.

Works great when it works. Seems to crash a lot on my TF300 while paying back a DVD file. But no other program that works like it that I've seen so I can deal with couple crashes.

Adding files to a playlist can be buggy. Sometime they don't show up, or garbage data is added and has to be deleted. Interface can be glitchy and crashes a lot.

Sir player is working very good quality video on my Micromax A110 mobile but sound was not available. Same video proper working on others player. Please solve sound problem in Micromax A110.

The player used to be able to play live streams but since the last update, all I get is a video and no sound. really sucks to be watching a soundless visual

Does not work on samsung galaxy fame. Just flashes on and off when I press any button on it. Useless. It seems no ripped music from windows media player or any other player! can be played on any of these mobile phones. Supposedly because of copyright issues. Yet I have all my music on my old banger MP3 player. So why the big problem with these fancy mobile smart phones?

Downloaded it to see if it would play DRM protected wma audiobook files. Won't stay running long enough to find out so I took it off.

Plays .mov files like a champ! Best .mov player iv found yet. Read files from SD card with no problem. No annoying ads or upgrade nags.

Great app, plays my flac files and movies of all kind. Doesn't get much better than this folks.

Downloaded the software. Then message for downloading armv6 Codec. But the download ends and error message is shown. Please help. HTC Wildfire.

Your apps very powerfull for playing DVD files, but the subtitle positions are on the right place, not in the middle. Please fix this because mx player has a great position of the subtitle thx :-)

Never get sound!!! Refreshes ever 5 seconds!!

Player play good picture no sound for mp4 mov files. Droid x mobo video player pro has good sound play with checkers in video. Can not win it is either or on all players none play picture and sound as proper speed.

It is an excellent video player and on top of that it doesn't have any adds. Thanks guys for such nice app. It is my experience on HTC Desire X, ROM myONEdx RC4.0 FX+ lite Sense 4.1

Had to uninstall because it wouldnt open& kept foreclosing - motorola triumph

it plays all most all formats but it doesn't play heavy mkv files effectively,the voice doesn't get match with vedio as well takes slow motion in playing mkv files...otherwise itz a good app. solve it.

Can't even play a small MP4 that all other video players can. Also constantly crashes on my Nexus 5.

I tried a play a DVD folder and it crashed and FC. I am still looking for a player which can play a DVD folder, not just vob. I thought this one was the one, but crashed right at the beginning.

U don't have to mount an ISO I mage file to play a DVD. I use android zip to open the ISO file and then choose Daroon player to play it. The problem is that it plays like a dvd so when u start a movie u can't select play or any other options in the main menu because there is no touch screen support or a way to use a keyboard to hit play or scene selection etc. I will still rate this a five because from my knowledge this is the only app that will play ISO. If u plug a physical keyboard and mouse into phone or tablet u may beable to select play in the menu screen. There's other ways to play iso on here but you have to unzip them and play them through a dif app I won't mention because it's a competitor to this app in review. This app will be awesome once the devs implement a way to select items in a DVD menu

Runs some MKV's pretty good and decent codec as well. And no ads I can see. For a program that hasn't been updated in over a year it's a surprise.

Can't handle higher quality videos. Once I download 720p it starts slowing don and skipping frames, unsyncing the audio. That needs impovement

Wont even let me open on an huawei m835. Love the idea but it wont work

Basically MPEG and MPEG 2 files won't play on this. They will either play too fast, out of sync or with a lot of noise and cracks. MP4 Files seem to play Ok. Not what I need.

The first problem: Daroon decided that the default search folder is the music folder on the internal storage, My music is stored on the external sd card. Daroon does not like to let you navigate to those places because the apps designed-in way to navigate to a specific folder is very buried and hidden away. The second problem: even though my volume graphic goes up and down, I can turn it up and down by phone hardware buttons, there is no sound from the player.

omg...this player is good bt too bad that it always force close whenever i want to fast forward or do something else..please fix it and it shall b a 5 star app!

One of the only andriod movie players that can play DVD folders.

It wasnt playing my mkv files right. Vplayer does it much better.

Nice player but fast forwarding doesn't work while playing online video .its only demerit otherwise awesome player..

Can't fwd or reverse sliding the progress bar when viewing online videos. The fast fwd arrow doesn't work for online videos. Also needs an option to turn off the app always asking if I want to save the video after watching. SGSII T-Mobile Titanium 2.3.6

Installed it on Samsung Note3 but it keeps crashing instead of playing

its not working in my LG optimus updated ics4.0.4..when i click any icon..its just jumps back itself and showing same home page
