Dark Horse Comics

The app runs exceptionally well compared to reading digital comics via the web browser. I've encountered no bugs yet on my GS5. The only complaint I have is that certain comics are not available via the app, though they are still advertised. A link to the browser version exists on those pages, but it prevents downloading that comic. Still, very much worth your time. (Also, I would suggest reading Colder)

Should've given this review a long time ago. I installed this app initially like 4-5 years ago and bought a BUNCH of comics (comics lover right here). A few months after I changed phone and kinda forgot all about the app for a couple of years (or 4). Some months ago I remembered all the comics I downloaded and wanted to start reading some of them but everything was lost. No way to sign in. I contacted support and roughly 12 hours later my old account with all the content was up and running. Thanks guys!!

Crappy app. has always been crappy. i love dark horse but please do some updates to the app once in awhile eh. Then i will spend money on it. I really want to support the company but i keep finding myself finding digital versions elsewhere instead Also there so much that isnt on the app that i would pay for if it was even there. Like baltimore for example. None at all so im going to delete the app if i cant find anything else i love to read This app is crap and broken

Works well enough. I can download and read my DH comics on it - job done! I'll say that searching the shop can be a bit laggy, and that I wouldn't mind some kind of notification for series that I follow, if such a thing is possible.

Hate the way it forces you to certain zoom levels then mocks through the panels. Very frustrating. Wish I could zoom and move around t g e page on my own and still be able to change pages...

If only other comic publishers would realize just how good this app is! Dark horse have knocked it out of the park with this. If all comic company's and publishers would make their work as accessible as this I would spend as much money on them as I have on this app! Signed I'm drunk ;-)

This app does exactly what it needs to do without harassing you with ads or specials unless you want to see them, and it does it simply, quickly and without hassle. I can't fault it, so it is well worth 5 stars.

I haven't been able to make a purchase on this app as of late. Keeps saying I have to sign into my Google Account (I already am on the phone). Then the app crashes. Signing out of the app/signing back in; doing a clean install and wiping the app's cache don't help.

The comic reader works well enough, but when searching for comics in the store is listing comics I've owned for years as "new." This makes it a bit frustrating to find comics that are actually new.

Please make this a better app, right now its cr*p, can't find the avatar comics, aparently they're non existent. And it's difficult to navigate. Such a shame as i wanted to be able to read my fav avatar comics on the go. Uninstalled now for the 2nd time.

Since the latest update I can no longer PURCHASE any comics. Error msg keeps telling me I need to log in to my Google a/c but I am logged in. Uninstalling & reinstalling makes no difference. So well done Dark Horse, you've lost a customer.

The app works as well as you'd expect. My problem is that the pricing is shown in US dollars and when making a purchase, you are charged differently. I bought a comic that was priced 1.99$ which is 17.9 Swedish crowns but was charged 22 crowns instead. Not a big difference but I rather see the real price instead of seeing a cheaper one before being prompted to pay more.

My favorite publisher, and when the app works it's a fun way to read comics. Unfortunately it works infrequently. I just spent ten minutes trying to download the new Hellboy; first it froze and crashed a half dozen times, then it froze a half dozen times while loading the book pre-purchase, then it loaded the book to purchase but claimed I needed to sign in to my Google Account (I was signed in). I feel like Fry: "Take my money!" I wish this app made that possible, instead of driving me, frustrated, to another digital comics app.

I downloaded this app to get a specific comic series and it isn't even in their library, I read another comic related to the series and the definition is so poor if you zoom the page to a readable size the letters become out of focus, like they were scanned rather than uploaded... Also the comics have no set edge or screen roller, unlike the Google reader which automatically stops at the panel edge for easy reading and usability... *Additional* It has now started crashing and locking up my device.

I'm a big fan, but I'd like to preview samples of books before I buy, also, some of the guided interface is janky, skipping panels, or not zooming in enough to read the dialogue; all that said, it's free, comes with free comics, allows me read all my favorite Dark Horse Comics, and while there's room for improvement, as a whole, it's a damn good app,

Want to love it but my purchased books never synch. Prompted to buy half of them again with an error trying to authenticate. So sad.

Dark horse comics is the best, i used to read comics on my PC and now i have it on my phone so i can read any time i want, this app is great. thank u

Now I can read my comics on the go and not have to worry about carrying my comic books in a bag.

App wont work can not access my comics or buy new ones.

Browsing the store is incredibly slow and crashes the app often. For reading stuff you've managed to purchase, it works ok.

Wasn't free. Too expensive. For this price I'll just go buy the comics.

Love everything about this app,only one small grip. In My collection, I wish all books where grouped by title not issue.

I can't even sign in, every time I try it asks of im connected to the internet. I've tried multiple sources.

Not going to argue with the awesome selection of random random random Comics but could you add a preview of the least a couple of the pages?

Great collection, weak app. It more than often presents blank pages and the library administration is poor. I wish I could sync my DH library to Comixology and read it there.

Only 3 stale comics

It says I am not connected to the web when I can clearly see the 3g symbol on the top of my phone

Constantly crashing, and lags on both wifi and 4G

It force closes on me constantly and I've paid money to read a comic please fix

I wasn't able to find the eighth issue of overwatch and that was a little irritating, but other than that it's a great app and I recommend it.

Absolutely worth getting the app. The back catalogue is amazing, there are lots of great titles in there.
