Easy Sound Recorder

Nice and simple, records when the app is active as well as on background and even when the phone is locked. Recording quality sounds perfect, takes around 800kB/min when doing DC quality. No nasty permissions required! Thank you very much for this app.

Add more featrures like pause and resume and also video record. Thanks

Clean and simple, but should record with mp3 and m4a file types, not just mp4.

After recorded last 1 r 2 sec of recording is missing. Timer is showing black. After deleted files from SD card, the list of records r showing

All I want is a simple open source audio recorder with no strings attached

This is a small lightweight sound recorder, focusing on small file size capable of encoding to aac files. Unfortunately it gets a low score due to poor audio quality and lack of customization. The recordings sound dirty and noisy, probably due to low sampling frequency which is fixed. An option to select a destination folder would have been great as well, but it is conspicuopusly absent. Had it included those options, this score would have been much higher.

I am experiencing a playback bug on a Nexus 5 running Android Lollipop 5.1.1. The playback works as expected as long as a file is not renamed. When I rename a file and play it, the control jumps from Start to End and the playback does not work anymore. Renaming the file to its default name has no effect. Thank you to look into it. I will change my rating when this bug as been fixed. UPDATE 14/11/2015: The bug is still present on Marshmallow (Android 6.0). No feedback from the developer.

Material design, no ads, and simple app. Thx for the dev :) But plz fix the black round timer circle.

The theme is very good, i like it very much. But the timer circle is full black, so i can't see the time of recording... Please fix this error, add more settings

On my phone, the sound quality of the recording is extremely bad. Hard to really use its so bad. Love the look of the app though.

As others have mentioned, very convenient and I use it all the time in lectures!

The developer posted this to /r/android on Reddit and asked for feedback. Developers who care about their apps and are looking for critique are the ones I want to support. It records using a standard codec which can be used on any other media player. I hope the developer takes some of the suggestions given to improve the app but its currently my favorite recording app for its simplicity, functionality and aesthetics.

Though some material design animals would make it even better...
