Buddhism is a religion based on the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama, who lived about 26 centuries ago in the North East of India and Nepal today. He was one called "Buddha" (Buddha) denotes an awakening after experiencing the practice, realizing the nature of life, of life and death. In English, the Buddha is also known as an enlightened person, although in Sanskrit language as "Bodhi" which means "awakening".

Today, the estimated number of Buddhists in the world with 350 million people. This made Buddhism became one of the four largest religions in the world.
