Alien Widget, a reddit widget for Android
This is the only widget in the store that lets me jump to the Reddit app of my choice. I'm using it with Reddit Sync, that doesn't have its own widget. It works okay but it has some problems. (1) Can't get Dark theme, just comes up as Glass. (2) Can't find any way, (blanks, commas, etc.) to enter more than one sub. Separate lines even crashes it. Also I wish I could hide the alien bar. I wonder if this app is still being developed...
It's the only working reddit widget, but the font is massive and you can't really change how much space the widget takes up. Either 50% of your screen for two stories or all of it for barely 4.
This app is great in design and functionality. Only I want to connect to my reddit account and customise my feed. I'll browse imgur for imgur
Can't find a way to display content from multiple subs of my choosing.
Can't choose which subreddits to show
Features missing
Just kept saying "Next Page". Glitchy and can't be logged in.
Exactly what I was looking for
Good start... But need more customization options
Material design. Customization options.
Exactly what I was looking for
Looks great, works well. :-) Would be nice if tapping the title bar would open my chosen Reddit reader...
Exactly what I was looking for
I couldn't see how to post from the widget itself. If you don't want to post, this is the best looking widget I've seen.
Good stuff
I now have sloths in my home screen. :) I can't seem to get it to play nice w reddit news. I'd like to see an option to turn off titles or just make pics bigger. Set pics as wall would be nice
Works well but i'm not a fan of the lack of customization. This app needs to include the ability to get rid of the alien at the top, include a full transparent background, Support account sign-in as well as sync interval. I am still waiting for one of these Reddit widgets to provide a full transparent theme maybe this one can get it right.
Good reddit Widget
I just got the Alien Widget and was impressed with the look of it. Just some quick observations: It would be nice to be able to use my reddit account so that the subreddits I have would be displayed without having to manually input them. The Scroll sensitivity needs to be either adjusted or allow users to adjust it based on their phone/tablet...my tablet doesn't quite like the sensitivity. Great Widget! I had all but given up on true reddit mobile browsing....
Good start... But need more customization options
Works well on my Nexus 7. Would like to see a refresh interval option. Also an option to get rid of the alien at the top.
