About Gamepad Enabler

Do you want to get more out of your bluetooth controller? If you're running a rooted Android 3.1+ device, and your controller is compatible with Bluez IME, then this is the app for you.

This app works by tricking Android into thinking your controller is natively supported, thus allowing games such as GTA III and Shadowgun to work at their best with true analog support. Growing popularity for games with native gamepad support means the list of supported games will continue to grow.

Only one controller can be connected at a time, as I'm not aware of any games that support multiple native gamepads. I will be adding multiple controller support in the future when hopefully more games support them.

Supported controllers include:

- Zeemote JS1
- MSI Chainpus BGP100
- Phonejoy
- iControlPad

Games enhanced by native support include:

- Grand Theft Auto III (Rockstar Games)
- Shadowgun THD (MADFINGER Games)
- Riptide GP (Vector Unit)
- Shine Runner (Vector Unit)
- Cordy (SilverTree Media)
- Sleepy Jack (SilverTree Media)
- Reckless Racing HD (polarbit)
- Reckless Racing 2 (polarbit)

Instructions:

1. Install and run Bluez IME, then configure your controller as the first device and check that it can successfully connect. This step is only required once or if you change controllers.
2. Disconnect the controller from Bluez IME, then launch Gamepad Enabler and check the 'Driver Enabled' box. Be sure to allow Superuser permissions when prompted.
3. Connect your controller by pressing the power or sync button and check for a 'Controller connected' message.
4. Configure the button mappings under 'Edit Mappings'.

*** Warning: This app requires root. If you're not sure what that means, you probably don't have it. ***

I have a nook hd I'm not sure how to find out what its compatible with

Very easy to connect using my icontrolpad. I've been using it to switch between GTAIII and Dead Trigger lately. My only suggestion to make it even better would be to support profiles so you do not have to remap your settings each time. Either way its much more convenient than mapping touch screen items if you don't have to!

Couldn't get it to work with my ipega joystick. A refund would be great

I70%
by I####:

Utilizing this and BluezIME makes the Ipega one of the best controllers for Android. Gamekeyboard doesn't hurt to have either. I wish it didn't require root, but that can't be helped, so it gets the five stars anyway.

I have a Galaxy S win ICS 4.0.4. Buez IME is working fine and supporting Wiimote with HID plug-in. Gamepad Enabler seems also working, it allows me to edit keys mapping etc etc. But it sems that not all the mapping are sent to games/application, ie: - Shadowgun doesn't see the DPAD (while keys and joystick is working); - ARDrone Flight (utility to pilot Parrot AR.Drone) actually only "sees" the buttons of my Wiimote but doesn't see not the DPAD nor the joystick. Could you lease fix it? edit 1: my mistake in mapping keys, Shadowgun works fine, still ARDrone Flight sees only the buttons but NOT DPAD and/or nunchuk

I am not sure if the button mapping maps to the mappings set by bluez ime, or if it does it on its own, but they buttons seem a little messed up.

Works great on a rooted HTC Sensation using icontrolpad. Wish it had support for OnLive, but this is a very good start! Feels nice to be able to use my analog sticks finally!
