● Why does the video recorder launch the default camera recording app?

CUSTOM ROMS
● Camera 2 doesn't officially support custom ROMs. The app might work, but there are know issues especially with CyanogenMod. Please update to an official ROM or ask us for a refund if you've purchased the app.

I came across this app called "FxCam 100+ fx video rec" developed by WCU. They have a good amount of fx, but the ones that stood out were Artifact(with the square blocks), Compression and Tracking. Could you please add these? Thanks in advance.

A decent app which has true effects but I feel bit expensive, I hope these guys will add more effects in future to make the app worth for the cost.

Do not buy this app if you have lollipop 5 and higher I do not recommend to purchase I can't get my money back! I will report them to Google! When you record a video it lags then to top it off when you want to add a color filter to any video in your gallery it will give you an error message and force close.

Bug: Clicking the OK button has no effect after selecting a folder on the external SD card, thus Camera 2 can't save photos on the external SD card. Please fix. Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 Lollipop v5.0.1. Asked this a long time ago, and no answer, so one star down again. When are we getting the support for external SD cards?

Dear Developer, I recently purchased your Camera 2 app from the Android Google Play Store. I really love the features and filters for taking pictures and the ability to use the filters when taking video shots. They give my media the look that I've been wanting to achieve in one app. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S3 to run the app and have some questions about the capabilities of the app on this device. I have noticed that I cannot raise the resolution above 480p. , and my video is choppy during playback. Is this a software or hardware limitation and are there any workarounds or solutions? Also I really enjoy the use of the focus blur feature and it's ability to mimic a depth of field look unlike any other app in the store. Unfortunately when using the Original filter I'm sent to another video application on my device to capture the video, and those devices don't have that feature. Is there a way I can stay inside the native app on this device? Thanks in advance

This was a good app, but it hasn't been updated in a year. There are some problems with it, at least on my LG G3. While you can go in the settings and change the maximum video resolution to 1080p (no 4k) the app will revert back to 720p as the max.

I can't tell you how many times I've stopped recording entirely trying to resume recording from a paused state. The record button needs to change into the pause button and have the stop button in place of the current pause button. Its killed many shots that would have been perfect.
