Kills the battery and not that useful

I'm using this app for 7 months on Samsung S7. Several updates were done which were supposed to resolve the issues which everybody complains about. It is a shame that this product (I mean Mercedes Me adapter and its app) is branded Mercedes... The main issues since ever are: 1. App drains phone battery unacceptably a lot. Even latest updates (with Frequency of connection attempts set to Infrequent) do not improve much. 2. It is impossible to use the bluetooth phone calls when the phone is connected to the adapter. Even recently added setting Reduce data transfer while making telephone calls does not help. 3. The app has so few useful info (that you expect an adapter connected to CAN could read), that makes the whole system to be a toy and completely useless.

Updated the App. It is still very poor. Can't connect to my car Bluetooth for phone connection now. I am not even sure the app works as it is saying my car has been parked for 3 days but the mileage has gone up. None of the dashboard items work either. My car is a 2007 SLK 55 AMG. What can I expect to work?

This App is awful. Beside of the known battery issues it's crashing my WiFi connection. The only way to continue using my phone in WiFi mode is to ForceStop the App everytime I'm not driving. Update June 19, 2017 Updated to the latest version. Battery consumption is slightly better, WIFI issue still the same.

UK users should have the option to set it to miles. We don't use KM here.

Drains battery.

The Bluetooth drive has to be uninstalled to get command to download contacts. Stopped working. Reinstalled worked one day. Unplugging it and will try again in a year when whatever if fixed. I suspect it breaking my voip too

Battery hog

The battery usage is way off the charts and makes the app unusable. There are many apps that watch for Bluetooth connections without using any noticeable amount of battery, if you can implement that then the idea and app itself is excellent.

Mercedes me adapter is showing 7 days old information. I just don't why it can't do a simple update. Please advise if you are experiencing the same problem. Thanks

Mercedes me Adapter - Absolute garbage. Frustratingly useless, unreliable, full of bugs. MB, this is surely an embarrassment to you. Have a look at Jaguars version and learn from it.

All those bad reviews must be under rating the app I thought, no I was wrong it is as bad as everyone says. Atrocious, should never have seen the light of day or smothered at birth.

Stopped working after 1 day. Won't record journey or parking. Says I've been parked for five days!!!

Does not load

Rubbish, pointless, bug filled app. Don't bother. Doesn't monitor parking. Says I've been parked for days which is not the case. Can't save setting changes from km to miles. The only accurate information is odometer but in km (I want miles), my dealer info (I know that, I bought the car there), and days to next service (my dealer sends me a postcard). What is the point of this app?

Drains my phone battery and information not useful, eg I know a refuelling 'event' happened because I was stood at the pump with the nozzle in my hand.

Not too bad just needs a little more.. Works flawlessly on my car with no issues. Find it a little basic compared to the BMW app I ran previously on my 4 series which allowed me to open windows,doors,activate cooling/heating etc. Probably due to this being a retrofit for the SLK range but otherwise it's an ok little app and I find the fuel consumption very accurate and helpful. Function-wise, it's good. A great idea per se, your phone travels with you, being always connected to the car. Refuelling detection is good at detecting a fill-up. Your own places will make reading a trip log easier. Reminders and stuff about your car -- also good. The amount of data available on the "cockpit" dashboard is not stellar. In addition to current mileage, time since parking, fuel amount in litres and a few more numbers, -- it's possible to get oil and coolant temperature (one is already on dashboard!), average speed (on your dash), map (COMAND unit!), and time of day (again, clock and COMAND). If it's an OBD2 adapter, it probably can do more. My personal strong peeve about this application -- a notification on the Android phone's lock screen, which can't be even disabled when I'm at home and have Bluetooth OFF. It's an eyesore on my lock screen and I can't do zilch to get rid of it. I like having these data readily available during the daytime -- but please make it go while my car is safely parked and I don't need it. Why can't I start and stop this app on demand, without uninstallation?? IFTTT could handle this automatically, making it present when necessary.

Useless, keeps resetting itself to km I want miles. Only records the odd journey even though the app has recorded a connection. There is nothing very useful about the adaptor and the app. Wish I hadn't bothered, even though it was free. I'm about to uninstall it.

But this app is draining the phones battery

Trips werden unregelmäßig aufgezeichnet. Bitte auch die Möglichkeit geben, Koordinaten einer Tankstellen direkt an map pilot senden, sodaß automatisch mit dem map pilot zur Tankstelle navigiert wird. Auch Preisalarm für billige Tankstelle ermöglichen.

Drains battery fast

Dear Mr Daimler my vehicle is compatible with the Me device. I'm driving a 2011 C200 CGI. My question is, will I be able to start my vehicle from my bedroom via the app. To pre heat the vehicle on that cold winter's mornings although the key isn't in the vehicle....

Awful battery usage.. The app seems reasonably stable and reliable but the battery usage is totally unacceptable. Constant drain, my battery life has halved since installing.

Since last update "my journeys" no longer functions correctly, sometimes the map shows the exact route, sometimes the map shows the journey as a direct line (as the crow flies), more often than not the the journey is shown as a chequerd flag with "no location found". Fed up having to reset the app / add new vehicle. App worked prior to update. Today (14-12-2017) the app failed to record the start of my journey, but it did record my return journey home which the app is showing as no location found, previously my home address / vehicle location was correctly displayed on the map. Edit to add: 3 km driven, 46 hr 6 min length of journey, no location found! Have to keep manually entering address details and "determine location".

This could have been an excellent app, however all this does is look fancy on the home screen, find ur car using googlemaps asist etc, and records ur fuel only when connected whilst refulling etc, now thats boring .. there are other apps out there that are far better but require a slightly more expensive blietooth module. Now as i and others here have spent 30 to 50 GBP POUNDS on that stupid mercedies adaptor, at least show us some real skills like the the OBD race dash app, givs us real time engine info, just like in the GTR. Can u not sync on board diagnostics to throw out engine info?? Now please do this and im sure everyone will give you 5 stars and will even pay.. ensure you reply if your serious about making us happy and getting ur app to be in the real top 5 best selection. thankyou.

As the adapter was supplied and fitted FOC by my local MB dealer, I am happy with what this does. Not sure I would have been quite so satisfied if I had had to pay for the module.

Awful... Hardly ever updates my cars info... Constantly freezing... Can never log in as its never heard of me!! When try to reset password you get an email link to a non exist ant page!! It is boring to be honest and not what I had hoped for. Can never find correct location of my vehicle either!! Frustrating.
