S4 black screen during call is fixed!

I spent a lot of time looking around XDA to find a way of doing this, your app worked a charm as a nice shortcut! One thing I did notice is that my sensors go from 51-255 not zero or 50? Unlikely to be a software problem either way, just odd

Proximity sensor was not working when I installed cm12.1. After properly rooting, this app solved the issue with phone screen staying off during calls. Support is also really good.

Proximity sensor says 74. Not sure how to lower. XDA forums mentioned normal was around 50. How do I change it?

Had to run the calibrate a few times but it worked. Tested on 2 different custom ROMs. The black screen wasn't an issue for me on stock ROM but this fixed it for other ROMs. I'm using the Galaxy S4 T-Mobile. Thanks for this app!

Tried vacuuming the phone grills and speaker holes for several times... It worked for a while and then fail on me again. But this app saved my phone! I know I can do this for free using adb shell, but chose to pay for the app to support the app dev. Great work DaGentooBoy !!

This is definitely the best app for me.. It totally fix my Note 3 with the proximity sensor issue.. You will definitely get what you pay for.. Two thumbs up for the developer for making this cheaper and effective..

This worked exactly as advertised. I'm using the sgh-i337m (jflte-can) and 5.0.1 GPE ROM, ran it once and have complete use of my screen during calls.

Had video the problem using manual methods on cm11. Came back in cm12 nightly

I ran the calibration around three times then it worked and my jaw dropped. I have blown so much air into the speaker grill, it never worked :/ this app fixed all my problems! WORTH THE $2!!!!!!

Best $1.99 I have spent to fix the proximity sensor not working properly during calls on non-TW ROMs. Currently running Verizon S4 custom ROM, Lollipop.

Phone is an s4 Canada model. During calls, my screen was turning off with no way to get it back on to use the dial pad, go to speaker, or even hang up. First time I ran the calibration, everything working back to normal!

I had the problem where during a call if I removed the phone from my ear the screen remained black. Very annoying when you get a solicitation call and want to hang up, or need to use the keypad. This fixed the problem for me, so well worth the money thanks!

Better to pay $2 than $700 for a new s4. Must buy if your on a custom rom.

Proximity sensor finally fixed. Glad I rooted my S4.

Using Paranoid Android on my i9505 the screen would never turn on during a call, making it impossible to use the dial pad or hang up. A quick and easy calibration using this app fixed the issue. Thanks!

This fixed the problem I had with the screen remaining blank during a call after I'd taken the phone away from my ear. You can do this recalibration of the sensor by hand, using ADB or a terminal but this is much easier :-)

My Note 3 returns a normal value of 172,and goes up to 800 when you cover the sensor... So I wasn't sure that this would work. Turns out that it worked perfectly! Thank you

Had a ton of screen offs during calls, couldn't hang up or put speaker on. This magically solved it. Now phone works perfectly well.
