Obat generik adalah obat yang telah habis masa patennya, sehingga dapat diproduksi oleh semua perusahaan farmasi tanpa perlu membayar royalti. Ada dua jenis obat generik, yaitu obat generik bermerek dagang dan obat generik berlogo yang dipasarkan dengan merek kandungan zat aktifnya.
