Cyrus Cadence for Android
New version seems much quicker and more stable than the previous tardy effort.
Cyrus really need to get their act together with this software. It's nothing short of terrible compared to some players from other reputable hi-fi manufacturers and is really letting the brand down. The almost constantly spinning blue circle makes browsing clumsy and unpleasant. This has happened in all versions throughout the last year and needs urgently looking into.
Have download the latest version and works perfectly have no problems with it at all.
Latest iteration of anderoid app will not link with streamer. When used it crashed in setup. Unable to use Deezer, a reason for buying initially. Cyrus please correct. ANY CHANCE BY XMAS 2016? Xmas came and went no update. Next streamer def. not Cyrus. Could be persuaded by the unlikely event of a working app to support a woderful piece of hardware. What a shame. More so considering Cyrus have my money!
This app is terrible. I have been a Cyrus fan / user for over 20 years and i cant believe that Cyrus would allow this app on to the open market. A 12 year old could design a better piece of software. I believe its a third party that designs / implements the app, but thats no excuse. Wont connect to the streamer. I have given up. I have deleted then downloaded the app so may times to get it to even connect that i have now given up. I eventually get it to connect then switch off and return another day and........"can not connect" appears. My streamer (£ 1500 punds worth) is used only to allow me to stream tidal through Sonos.........(now there's an app. Cyrus, look and learn!)
To spend this much on a piece of equipment only to have to use possibly the cheapest app I have ever seen is a major disappointment. Can't even create a playlist or queue songs....really? Cyrus Answer yes you can have ONE playlist!
Does all you expect for a remote control app and more. Now stable and fast. If only it could download artwork!
Paid enough money will probably be the end of cyrus will buy a
And over a year later (Oct 16) it remains by far the worst app for music play I have experienced. Indeed it might just be the worst app in existence. Spoils the Cyrus listening experience. Thankfully both Media Monkey and Bubble perform brilliantly. Latest attempt is really poor (Dec 16), slow to navigate and still a clunky dated interface. Bubble saves the day by being brilliant in every way.
Often loses connection. Can't select a point in a track. Very disappointing, but then if it was any good no one would have to buy their remote control at £150!! I feel misled when I bought my Streamline as it said there was an app to control it - they don't say the app is useless.
Where there is an associated .lrc to the track being played. You could have a new button on the track screen, much like the info button that displays the associated lyrics
When I try to connect to my Streamline the app crashes. The quality of reproduction from Cyrus products is good but the practical usability of the equipment is rubbish. I would never buy Cyrus again.
The new version is much faster than the previous, but crashes when I click on the album art for details...it was not an issue before. I have an Xa with a NAS. This is an annoying issue should be fixed.
The output on my 10.1 display is smaller than on my old 7 inch. Apart from that is more reliable than the version for Apple. Also Bubble does not work on the Lyric - non standard programming on the unit. I wonder if this is by accident or design? If Bubble worked then all the poor reviews would be irrelevant.
After complaining about issues with Cadence with the Lyric 09 and Asset 5.1, I was assured that development was continuing. The application regularly produces a 'Server Error' after initially selecting new tracks to play. This is not down to the hard-drives or NAS powering down as advised and affects multiple Android platforms. After almost eighteen months, Cyrus should be providing bug fixes, however small, to make this a much better product.
Cyrus please, please, please release an update for cadence, it will not connect most of the time and when it does it crashes after every song selection. Love your audio equipment but this takes away from the pleasure of it
Constant problems opening the device and the app just closes. Expensive top quality HW deserves better SW than this.
Spent a fortune on cyrus HiFi streaming and can't use it what are they doing its appalling
You can't move the order of tracks in saved playlists which is a bug with the app, also cannot delete these saved playlists, whether a bug too i cant tell because no operating instructions to the app. Using cyrus stream x2 with nexus 7 tablet. Cyrus have said the android app supports multiple playlist functionality (July 2014) but in my case it doesn't. Also doesn't move order with android phone. This app and functionality of apps is some way behind sonos etc. It should do the basics though.
Cyrus have shown no interest in updating this app or correcting its niggling faults. Very disappointing as it supports several of their high end products and could be so much better.
Appalling app. Crashes frequently, had difficulty connecting to my Lyric, takes over 30 minutes to find a track then crashes. If a company like Cyrus can float an inadequate app is beyond me. Thank god its a free download, maybe that's why it is so poor
This just keeps crashing on Nexus7. Miles behind Bubble upnp in terms of features and stability. Hope Cyrus get it right with future releases.
Cyrus cadence. Won't connect to xp 2qx.
Cyrus xp2qx is a great streamer and this android app works well. It does almost everything I'd like it to. An alpha index in the browse would be a good addition. I live the Internet search in the now playing page. I haven't experienced the stability issues mentioned elsewhere. My tablet is a Sony Xperia z3 running Android 5.
Sometimes just does not find the streamer.
Some say it doesn't control the xp 2 streamer - well it does for me and is quicker than using the n-remote. One nice feature is that you can set a 'safety' volume of say 30db so you don't accidentally swipe it up to the max and blow your speakers !
It works ok, until i select something to play it crashes. So its pretty useless
Not impressed Windows media player is quicker at finding albums artists etc pity it can't be used to control my cyrus streamer
This has been a long time in the pipeline - largely due to the varied implementation of Android across so many devices. Although the description states this is for the Lyric all-in-one system, I am using it with a Stream X as part of a main Hi-Fi setup and a Streamline all-in-one system in a bedroom. It mirrors all the functions of the n-Remote so effectively makes that redundant. It works very well on both my systems, so I am not sure why it is stated as compatible with the Lyric and that another version of the app is to follow? I think the interface is a bit bland - more effort on the design of this has clearly gone into the iOS version of the app.
Doesn't connect to Streamline2

App works well with my Cyrus streamer.
It's great that it is finally here, but now it needs to support other products like my stream xp2qx
