Cycloscope Cardio

Real-time monitoring, recording, playback, reviewing and sharing of electrocardiograms (ECGs). ECG data can be sourced from Physionet (http://www.physionet.org/) or the AliveTec bluetooth ECG sensor.

Note: does not work with any other ECG hardware !

We published this app to showcase a novel ECG visualisation technology. ECG waveforms are shown in a colour-coded, compact overview together with the heart rate. This is plotted in real-time, as a function of time (horizontal axis). The current cycle is continuously updated as the overview grows similar to a progress bar.

A single image shows minutes worth of ECG morphology trends and events. Such overview makes monitoring, navigation and quick assessment of long-term ECGs time-efficient and more intuitive. Well, that's my take anyway.

This app is suitable for people with interest in cardiology, fitness, health and science. Similar apps will be published for audio applications - so stay tuned.

Bluetooth-based real-time ECG self-monitoring requires the Alive Heart Monitor hardware. If you are aware of any other real-time ECG devices that can interface with an Android app, then please let us know, we'd love to add support for it.
