About Unofficial TV WiFi Remote
The Unofficial TV WiFi Remote is an application for remote controlling 2012
or later released LG Smart TVs over WiFi network with your Android device.
Based on some feedback, not working on WebOS TV sets, but I haven't tested yet.

How to use it:
Make sure your phone connected to the same network (subnet) over WiFi as the LG Smart TV.
For help you can find your device network information at the bottom of the first
screen of the Unofficial TV WiFi Remote.
Discover your LG Smart TV, set the pairing code and save it to control.
Please wait for obtaining the installed applications and information from your LG Smart TV set.
Tap the stored device, wait for pairing and than you can control it from your device.
If pairing failed. please check your WiFi connection on your Android device.
See screenshots or choose Help from Options menu for assistance.
Features:
Remote control LG Smart TV with specified buttons.
Start and stop the installed applications on the TV set from your Android device.
Capture the LG Smart TV screen and share it on Facebook. (Before you use the application
you need to accept the Terms and Conditions about this feature mainly)
Type text easily on your device which is appears on the LG Smart TV.
Scrollwheel for scrolling content on LG Smart TV.
Touchpad for controlling mouse pointer and click on LG Smart TV.
Update volume level and current channel when overscroll on remote buttons screen on top.
Button vibration is switchable.
This is the AD supported free version of Unofficial TV WiFi Remote.
The Unofficial TV WiFi Remote was tested on the following LG Smart TV sets:
LM669S, LM670, LA620S, LN570R, LM660S, LN578V LN757.

Unlike the official lg app, this has indeed a power button but you can only switch it off with it. You cannot switch it on, unless this is resolved the app is not complete and you cannot ditch the remote

Cannot pair my touchpad running 4.3 with my lg 42ln5700. But nexus 7 running 4.4.2 can pair OK. Mouse pointer sensitivity is so poor that it is useless. This is the most important feature to me. Also, when I select an app on the menu and try to use the mouse or click button to select it, the pointer always position in the middle of the screen and select the wrong app. Screen image captured should not have the app title on it. The official lg remote TV is better on the above items. Thanks

Pick up tv but don't work

I have to go in 10 times before it will finally work. It pops up pairing failed. Hope this can get fixed.
