The CW

The app does what it's supposed to do. However I'm not a fan of the fast forward feature. If you start a show and have to stop halfway through on the next startup you have to watch the ads(which is fine) but then 9/10 you end up watching the exact same ads again in 20 seconds. But the app is free so can't complain to much about the ads. Just wish they were implemented better on the seeking feature of the app

It's great being able to keep up with shows on the app. I just wish they would keep all the episodes instead of just the last 5. I watched the first season of a CW show on Netflix but to watch the second season i had to buy the first 2 episodes on amazon video before i could watch the rest on the CW app. I almost gave up on the second season. If they want to keep ratings up then CW needs to allow people to catch up that start watching late.

Been a user for years (atleast 2014) love the app love most the shows. There are a few times when it glitches and i have to exit the app and restart it but thats alot of apps. It says about the CW is targeted for mainly women 18-34 i am 17 and a woman and have been watching the CW shows for years. I Love the app but there are too many commercials. The subtitles are on point for most the time also. 5 stars! Great app. Great shows.

Love that I can watch new episodes of Supergirl (my favorite show) on this app the very next day after it airs. Great way for me to catch up on shows and rewatch my favorite episodes. I also love the extra clips, cast interviews and behind the scenes looks. Occasionally, there aren't even any adds and I get to watch an entire episode without any interruption.

Get to watch all my favorite shows. Only thing they can change it to play the shows live or the same night they air. Also to many commercials but other then that it has great quality and I love all my shows that air on CW. Lately my shows have not been clear it's all messed up can barley see anything but it was never like that before. Something needs to be fixed.

I think this app is so cool! I love my superheroes and watch them all the time but I also love to watch things like Jane the Virgin and Riverdale. I've never read the comics but I think I like the show better. It's cool to see all types of shows on one app/channel. I also think it's cool that if you don't have DirecTV, like nyself, you can still find your favorite shows only one day later.

One of the better TV network apps. Let's me cast t my TV, while Comedy Central and vaicom continue to pander to the cable companies and lock down their features for non cable subscribers. The only critique I have is that if you want to jump back in the episode or you accidentally hit the progress bar and go back you can't just tap back to where you were, you have to rewatch the commercials as well.

Casting is a nightmare. App always crashes first time trying to cast it. The second time it goes through to my Chromecast but it stays on the loading screen, even though I have great Internet connection. It does the same thing when using a Google home (and it doesn't let you change episodes through the Google home).

The app is great at first and was a gidsent for my son. He loves cw shows but our tv service doesn't get local channels. This is a great way for him to stay caught up. Only downside I have noticed is after the first commercials, the show gets very pixilated. I thought it was his phone, but all the commercials are crystal clear!

I think you need a upgrade the app a little bit more some times it won't let me pause or go back , less Commercials. Other then that this is a great up to catch up on shows you might have to miss cause of life. Something always comes up. Thanks again for the app

*Edit- I can't believe this still hasn't been fixed, it's been going on a year now!* The app doesn't fit to screen when casting on 4k screens. There are big gray bars to the right and bottom of the picture. Even if the content isn't 4k, it should still fit to screen; other steaming apps have no problem doing this. I submitted a ticket to support (and left a review) about this problem in the past and numerous updates have been released, but none have fixed this issue.

Still a little slow n glitchy but considering that 50 years ago TV was black n white, you were the remote, n it weighed more than half the average adult person...heck yeah I'll watch it on my android phone anytime!!! Much improved since 2015! Never have to miss my favorite shows! Can't say enough GOOD things!

12/8/17 Definitely like app (still miss not being able to watch it through Xbox 360). Love the no commercials :-) 4/8/16 Still working great! :-) 10/6/17 Not really thrilled I can no longer watch shows on my tv through my Xbox 360. Need and enjoyed the ability to watch shows on my 32" screen :-(

Insane amount of ads before/during each episode and any time i need to skip around. Not to mention playback quality sucks. Picture is bad and it constantly freezes and chugs and buffers every like 15 seconds. But dont worry, the 10 minutes of ads play perfectly! So bogus..

Its free and means I can watch my favorite shows as they air. Sometimes if I leave the app and come back to it, it will freeze, but restarting the app fixes that. Overall a great experience. I really like that it saves where you are in a show so you never lose your place and have to rewatch part.

I really like that I can watch the shows I want with few commercials. The only thing I wish it would do is tell me when the next episode will be. it says the day of the week but if the show is skipping a week or more it doesn't say when it will come back on. other than that I LOVE it :-)

If I could give it a zero I would. It used to work, but with this new season it lets me watch one commercial then crashes. I have done everything suggested by the support page, and sent in a help ticket, but no response or change. Even if this is magically resolved at some point the first episodes of all of my shows have already been taken down.

your commercials almost always freeze the app and after restarting the app I always have to search for my place in the episode which results in having to watch commercials again which also almost always freeze up. so it's a ridiculous loop. your app is great idea but work the bugs out because it's complete garbage!!!!

While I can watch full episodes, the encoding uses more data than I am happy with. It's not a problem when on wifi, but still. Chrome cast streaming is nice but the app disconnects and loses the ability to control playback. Ads are what keep this free, but sometime they don't load and freezes the screen having to quit and reload the app. This restarts the ads again. Very annoying. My phone is brand new running Oreo 8.0 so I don't think it's my phone. Clean up some bugs, and my rating will improve.

Big streaming issues on Tab 4 unable to maintain steady quality stream. Constant, horribly pixelated freezes every 3 secs or so. Ive uninstalled/reinstalled several times to no avail. Shame, would've been nice. Also I have a very fast internet plan, 150 mbps (and its pricey..) but I stream Netflix HD on two screens without a hitch so its not my ISP

Too many ads and the shows don't stream at the time it's scheduled but overall it's really nice to have a place to watch Jane the virgin and other shows but I'd prefer cutting back on the ads and do it on schedule and not freezing until you have to click the pause and then start again. Also the subtitles don't match up with the speech it goes to fast but I like how you can watch full episodes despite the fact there are too many ads.

Too many commercials. The playback quality of videos is messed up once the ads finish playing & it goes back to the show. Requiring me to continuously close out the app & then go the entire way back in to whatever episode I was watching.

I paid for series if my favorite show. The episodes where limited. Then I went to the CW and got current episodes. What is great is that I saved money because it was the only show I wanted to see. Not to many interesting shows. The CW gave both trailers, and full episodes so you could stay up dated on the show

Great app with shows added quickly. When picking up where I left off the sound & picture gets out of sync. And no Chrome Cast support built in... Dropped rating due to the fact that I have to restart the app constantly. either it gets very pixely or it freezes during transition from add back to show. No other streaming app does this. I really like the CW and their shows but this app needs serious work.

I love almost every CW tv show there is and you would think that a big channel like CW would do better with their app but this app is terrible. It wont let me pause and the picture is terrible after the first commercial. If you guys fix these little bug the cw would be the best app out there. Please fix!!!

I have tried to download this app on 3 devices, and when I try to open it, it opens as a blank black screen. Then I wait and wait and the message pops up that's says the app is not responding and closes. I am done trying to use this app. It needs a lot of work. I would love to able to watch my shows on the go, however, this app won't even open.

Amazing shows, but the video quality should really be better considering CW makes these shows themselves. Also, CW needs to chill on the ads. It's really annoying when I have to watch 10 minutes of ads before every show and anytime I have to skip forward in a show to get to the spot I was at.

This app use to be kind of decent. Now after every ad block you have to shut down the app then restart it or you will have a Matrix themed wallpaper video resolution. That's CW and parent company WB for this update that makes videos a hassle to watch.

I pay for hulu and Amazon prime to avoid commercials. Thanks the agravation with your greedy app.. You can't seek an interrupted episode because every fast forward lands you on 5 more minutes of impassable ads. So weak..

This app is awful! It only started misbehaving recently but it stalls after the first commercial and it won't play anything, the commercial or the show. When it does play the show the picture is out of wack, it looks like the picture is melting. Definitely not worth the space it takes up on my device.

Great app. Had to knock a star off because of annoying digital artifacts when returning from commercial breaks. Exit the episode and restart from where I stopped at in order to fix, but otherwise a great app. Just fix this one issue. Also, commercials not a big deal like some have complained about. They have to pay the bills somehow.

The Best App Ever!!! It has all the CW shows including Riverdale, Dynasty, Supergirl, The Flash & Green Arrow. There is only one thing that sucks, there's TOO MANY ADS/COMMERCIALS. But overall it's a great app

Great app! If you're into superhero shows like me, or the many others on this app, it's great to be able to watch them the day after they air, instead of months after on Netflix. Would give 5 stars, except the commercials get very annoying, I don't mind some, but after every like 5 minutes there is some, if I wanted to watch it with all the commercials, I'd watch it on my tv. Please fix and I will gladly give 5 stars! Great app!

Works great w/ mobile devices (pixel and Asus chromebook C302) but the day that they release an update for Android TV (Nvidia Sheild TV) is the day I give it 5 stars... little bummed I have to watch my favorite shows on the Roku in my bedroom because Chromecast doesn't work quite right???? on filling the screen...Sorry

If you like watching CW shows I don't know what you wouldn't like about this app. Do you get to watch TV for free. Of course there is adds but it's no different than watching it on regular TV all episodes are done within an hour. I think a paid for feature for like 4 or 5 bucks would be worth it.

Bless you CW for not making me sign up or pay for anything! Netflix doesn't have season 13 and I'm almost done with what's on Netflix so I just wanna be prepared. It'll even let me cast onto my TV!! Love it! ????????????

Heres the thing, i just finished season 1 of Riverdale so i wanted to watch the 2nd season, but 2 of tje episodes were not on the CW app! I cant just skip 2 episodes of the story! If you could put all of season 2 of Riverdale on your app it would be great.

I think that you should just leave episodes on instead of removing the first ones when new ones come out, I know you already put a time limit for that reason but there are some cases like my wife who was finishing a season before starting the new one and your first episode is gone... Just consider it please, have them available to download.

TOO MANY COMMERCIALS. Then to top it off it's sleezy commercials and constant repeats of the some few. I understand having some commercials but there is a breaking point where you just can't take anymore. Have a commercial here or there and at least let us skip the ones in the middle geez. Nobody wants ads shoved down their throats!

The video quality is spot on. However, the overload of ads completely ruined my experience with the app. I don't download apps or watch shows online to get the same commercial experience I get with a TV. I would rather pay a monthly fee than be forced to watch adds.
