Until I replaced this widget with a custom one I made with Tasker, I used this multiple times per day. I never had any trouble with it. It always kind of annoyed me that there was a third setting for vibrate off, since I always want it to either ring or vibrate, but it was not a big deal. I just always had to tap the icon twice when switching from vibrate to ring modes.
This widget adds a feature that should be standard in Android. It's a relief to be able to quickly turn volume on and off from the home screen. (It isn't compatible with March 2016 Samsung update, but still works on HTC M9.)
I have loved this widget for a very long time, but after installing marshmallow it vibrates when I try to get to silent. I don't want any feedback, like it used to be. Please update... without needing more permissions.
Needs two presses to turn on from off state on Nexus S with another app called "Shush" which I think is interfering with this app. Otherwise 5 stars
My vibrate is broken, the description says on or off not mentioning vibrate so I installed and find it toggles on - vibrate- off. Uninstalled immediately as no use to me.
Turned itself off overnight so then I did not get a text till later. If it does it again I'm uninstalling it.
I was disappointed that the droid x had no quick volume switch like blackberry and every other phone does. Then I learned about widgets. Instant fix!
I want an app that directly switches the ringer off, and vibrator too. It doesnt do that in one click. So i took one star away.
Works great. Only complaint is the switch color. Turns red when working & green when turned off. It's nit-picky, but I'd like it the opposite. Hero
Being in Sales I always am switching to vibrate and ringer. This is a life saver! And its free
I've used this since I got my G1 in 09 but it is outdated and misaligned on ICS (Droid RAZR specifically). Please update your awesome widgets so I can continue to enjoy them. :)
Works exactly as described! Admittedly it does make more sense to rename the app to "Sounds" b/c the phone is silent when "Off".
Awesome. I used to have to go to my settings and adjust my vibrate mode to silent. annoying. Now I just click this and i get sound, vibrate or silent!
You cant beat the push of a button to quickly silent, vibrate or activate my ringer. This app has never failed me on my Epic 4g Touch.
Even though this app hasn't been updated in years and was built for froyo, it still works perfectly. I've tried it on tons of custom roms and it's always worked flawlessly.
Does exactly what I need it to. Gives me sound on, vibrate, and no sound notification options. Droid x
Very convenient. Keeps from attacking the volume keys reapeatedly- risking wear and tear damage
Would be really useful if you could get it to sit on top of the lock screen. As is, it's not much quicker than hitting the volume rocker.
Great app! Just wish it was a bit harder to turn on & off by accident.. would like to keeping on front page but I keep tapping it accidentally ;)
Works great, since froyo fuct up my silent option. But soon after install my phone gets stuck on silent and widget says otherwise. I keep missing text
I installed it on my Samsung Galaxy 2. It keeps reverting to silent even after I set it otherwise. Very frustrating.
Great toggle! Goes from on > vibrate > silent mode. The little switch is kind of small for me so sometimes it wont react. (Galaxy Epic 4g)
Nice idea, but no sound profiles. Usefulness questionable. Had a control board page loaded with these widgets and they did not prove to be faster.
Too slow on htc hero; often end up on wrong setting by accident. The pre-installed one is better
i would definitely give it 5 stars for performance because it does what it is supposed to do. but the problem is (at least for me) when i turn silent mode on the icon does not change; the bell icon remains. but for vibrate the icon changes. and i think the green color should indicate silent mode because after all we are turning on Silent Mode. but in this widget it is red for silent. All other widgets in this series(bluetooth, wifi etc) are awesome in terms of that. i really hope the developer will consider that.
At least constantly with me. And it might be interfering with a automated thing that controls my volume.
I've been using this app for years and since the new Samsung update it hasn't been working. The toggle only goes between vibrate and silent. Will not go to on. I now have to find something else.
I didn't test everything, but I installed, added widget, turned off sound with button, pressed power button to put device to sleep and it made a sound. Same when I woke it up.
Loved this app and have used it for a long time, but this latest useless and irritating lollipop android update ruined it. Doesn't go to silent mode now. Samsung Galaxy S5.
On CM12, it only toggles between Vibrate and Priority Interruptions, which is quite a bummer. It was such a nice thing on older versions.
Just software updated to 5.0.1 on LG 3G. Now all I can use is LOUD and buzz mode, SILENT can't access. Please fix!
Doesn't work well on 5.0. Won't cycle to turn on sounds. Was 5 star <5.0.
Wonderful app; should come standard on Android! Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of slight delay in toggling between modes. But not a big deal.
Since updating to 5.0 this widget seems broken. Will put phone on vibrate but then won't come out of priority notifications only. Needs fixed
Invaluable. Never had any problems with it and it works exactly as specified. Thanks to dev for a useful & high quality app. HTC Incredible
This is just what I've been looking for!!! I have to switch my volume on and off all the time due to work. This has made it so convenient and fast.
Bell symbol shows on but label underneath says silent mode. This can be potentially misleading and requires a second look.
Great app. I use it everyday at work. One touch convenience. Originally on LG Ally, now have Droid 4.
Sometimes I will click the button to turn to silent mode. And it wont. End up having to click it a couple times. May be my phone droid 2
