Twitch Messenger

This app needs so many fixes. To start it freezes and drops calls constantly. Before twitch took over Curse was just fine sad to see this.

This app is very slow and clunky .... On the computer this program is great , a few bugs here n there but overall great ... This app on the other hand is garbage ... Not only does it run slowly making it feel like I have a slow phone( I have a top tier 8 core) there are many things that seem to have delay ... Friends take a while to update online and offline ... Switching between tabs lags ... You can't view videos in the app and have to copy n paste a hyperlink ... Like why can't it just pop up your YouTube app?? Or even in chrome?? This app just has a lack of care and detail put into it and I am thoroughly disappointed in it comparative to it's desktop counter part.

Yesterday I was able to get audio through my head phones, now it will only play through the phone. Also no way to deactivate camera by default when joining a call

I can't open the app on my phone. Keeps saying that it has stopped. Fix plz

Can't merge twitch and curse accounts. Keep getting "unknown error" when trying to confirm the account merge.

Calls have horrible quality, volume cant be changed individually. App keeps rezonating and turning off the screen from time to time. Compared to the desktop version this is lack luster.

App is really buggy, can't use it even once without a major problem that forces me to restart it.

Can't use headphones with voice chat? How do you even mess that up?

Never works for video, calls barely ever pick up, tons of glitches, layout is good but again glitchy, and audio is terrible.

Ruined a good app called curse. At least let us keep the theme from before.

I didn't install this. I assume the twitch app did without my consent.

It has improved greatly. Keep up the good work.

It's fine on the mobile version but It won't open on the desktop version. Other than that, it's a fun way to chat with your friends!

Would be so much better with push notifications. If they add that (or make it work if it's already there), it's good.

Gifs won't play and pictures will not go full screen. My friends on IOS don't have these problems though. Any help?

It needs to overhaul it's UI. It's too confusing. Judging by the design, it must be iOS-based. As an Android user, how can i expect to be nimble in an app designed for iOS UX?

Terrible chat app. It looks like they tried to copy the UI from Discord, but it's very glitchy. Sometimes have to hit send 3 times before messqge gets sent and it often will combine last word of previous message with current message. The app likes to freeze up for about 10 to 15 seconds. I am on Nougat on S7 edge.

Terrible since the merger. The app is just clunky. Messaging screen is clunky and not well designed, UI looks terrible now, notification Icon change is very confusing. I can rarely see the app due to the new weird app icon. I merged my accounts because I had faith in it. I was sorely mistaken and cannot go back now. Curse Voice was the best chat client available by far. Now i'm biting the bullet and switching to Discord.

I just looooove it. It's just so awesome for gaming with that cool in-game overlay (that's for the pc version). This one is extremely helpful for checking messages and arranging gameplay with friends! The interface is very good for both versions and you can customise it for your needs and tastes. It is amazing, especially if you play World of Warcraft and Minecraft. Devs hear your suggestions and complaints, so...no worries! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Other than the sidebar being way too sensitive and easy to bring up, I don't see what all the recent fuss is about. Everything seems to work fine for me, or better than in Curse. Mind you, the sidebar thing is pretty major.

(2 months later, still no fix) Last update displays offline friends even if this option is unticked in Settings. This makes the app extremely laggy. Also, please create the option to "always display favorite friends" no matter what their status is. These two changes combined highly optimize the app ram usage. Also, you should make the unread message icon actually trigger the contacts who have unread messages to them. This is important as we have trouble finding them otherwise.

God awful to use for anyone who likes​ to have separate apps for different functions, makes you feel as if Amazon are looking into your messages to see what you like purchasing xD all joking aside, used curse since alpha and defended it against bashers on discord, TS3 ect. But since the merge completely uncomfortable to use, every time i go on twitch i have message boxes and am unaware if they are from twitch or curse. Might just have to go to discord, closest thing to "Curse" since Twitch happened

Horrible. I could use Curse but now it doesn't recognize my password even after resetting it MULTIPLE TIMES so I can't use Curse. Everything I need from this app is on Curse. Thanks Twitch for ruining everything, UNMERGE PLEASE.

Is this thing broken? I was actually excited for this. It won't link my Twitch account. Should be seamless. I try to x-out a notification bar within the app and it just wants to pull out a side menu.

This app feezes my phone and forces me to restart the phone every time I open it, use curse all the time too, this is very bad, I may as well uninstall it cause it freezes all the time

Haven't had major issues to but is just uglier since the twitch update, overall feels like a down grade since update

The default colour schemes of purple/black and purple/white are god awful, I haven't accidentally enabled colour blind mode have I? The avatar editor is also the most temperamental thing I've ever used. Usually the avatar doesn't work, and any pictures from the camera roll will just result in a blank avatar, with no error message indicating any issue. The lack of custom resizer is painful as well, no, I don't always want the very centre area of the picture I chose.

When this was still curse I had no problems but since Twitch has taken over there are several issues for both mobile and desktop. I didn't expect this because the Twitch platform is so clean and user friendly. Voice calls on the mobile app do not use the headphones. Very poor decision that used to work on curse. Video on or off doesn't seem to be configurable as a default. On my desktop app the voice is off by default when I join a call and I can't turn it on by default. I have to unmute each call I enter. This is a very useful app but it could be better, I know this, because it was better. I'm also not sure it's working in the background properly. I'll have to test this.

Friends use it but has many bugs. Right now the top tabs on the main page are ellipsizing (clipping), which I think is new. Also why doesn't the audio come out the headphones?

UI is clunky compared to apps like Discord and Skype.. it used to be a lot better before twitch and curse "Partnered...." Voice quality is questionable and people are CONSTANTLY cutting out to where it's almost impossible to have a conversation. Send button is really hard to hit being if you hit it too far to the right it'll open up the people list.. I gave 3 stars because Curse used to be amazing and then twitch took over now everything in the design is boxy and isn't 'aesthetic'... Im using discord and Skype over this now...

This app is nothing compared to the old Curse App. The transitions are extremely laggy, I can't watch YouTube videos my friends sent me and some of their names won't load. I'm pretty sure there are more bugs in this but I just don't want to use this app, because of the things I mentioned above.

You can't play the voice chat through headohones, I find this very annoying and would like to see a setting to make this possible. If added I will change my review to a 5 star review.
