The Battered Fish was created in 2009 in Halifax, NS, with aspirations of becoming the next generation of fast casual restaurants and food trucks. The Battered Fish has particular emphasis on service, quality, consistency, and cleanliness at a competitive price. It is these attributes that people have come to trust and love about these fish frying experts.
Created by an ambitious young entrepreneur Ryan MacIsaac. It all started with his vision to bring gourmet seafood to a fast casual environment.
Mac Isaac’s love of Nova Scotia, as well as his passion for exquisite food and the tourism industry, inspired the concept behind The Battered Fish – Fish & Chips Company. Ryan wanted to offer a traditional Nova Scotian experience that seemed to be disappearing all too quickly: Fresh fish & chips, prepared to order, at a fair price. The concept that inspired him to create the fast growing company we all see before us as The Battered Fish. Since then the business has grown from the state of the art Food Truck in Halifax, to a multi-store fast casual franchise.
The Battered Fish is a leader in its class, offering a premium experience with a well-designed operation. The “ALWAYS FRESH. ALWAYS TO ORDER.” philosophy means serving the freshest possible product, cooked to every customers needs as it’s ordered. Each menu item is designed to be the best in its category by using only top quality products and local ingredients.
