ULTRA 4K Movies & TV for Android
Brand new TV and all apps work fine/connect to the Internet except the Ultra app. App immediately goes into a "Error" screen and says "Oops a connection error has occurred' Please reconnect to the Internet and try again. I have all the latest firmware/software and app updates and every other application connects to the internet without any issue.
Can't even log in because it considers my existing Sony Pictures account E-mail invalid because it has a "+" character in it.
XBR-65Z9D this app crashes 3 or 4 times when opening. After that, playing 4k movies is painful, constant buffering 20-30 times per movie (hard line to 100Mb internet). HDR Picture is actually pretty good but audio is only 2ch stereo. UPDATE: latest version 1.0.8 symptoms have changed... In stead of the app crashing at startup, it just gives "playback error" when starting to play a movie 2 or 3 times. But once it's actually playing, there is still sever buffering problems.
Have a new XBR-65X930D and I'm unable to get through the load screen. Brings up a network error and I have been on the phone with Sony support with no luck. Hope that this can be resolved with an update.
App cannot play 4K movie on new Sony XBR65X750D with the latest firmware installed. Multiple retries to play the movie eventually hang the entire TV requiring a power cycle.
The app works fine as long as I don't try to go to my library. If I go there, I get stuck in an endless loop of error messages that give me the option to "retry" or "go back". Either choice immediately presents the same two choices. The only way to close the app and escape the loop is to reboot my TV. Leaving to do something else works, of course, but then I'm locked out of using this app until I reboot the TV.
Well I just downloaded it and I haven't had much time with it but the movie Pixels looks really good in 4k.
The application is very well designed, easy to use and overall a really great platform that shows promise. Content looks really good, especially if you venture into other TV picture modes such as "HDR Pro" or "Cinema Home." I'm really excited to see where this goes and how the design can help contribute to the future of OTT entertainment.
This is an awesome app! It lets you watch and own 4K quality movies without needing the physical copies. Great selection now and excited to see how it grows in the future!

Started using the app to get 4 free moves when I got my Bravia. The app is great, plays high quality 4K with little to no buffering. The 10 min preview is a great way to sample movies in 4K. The layout is one of the best I have seen in streaming services.
