About Cubit Billiards Club
Cubit Billiards Club is a national pocket billiards association where everyone has a chance to win prize money. There’s no membership fee! Test-drive the mobile scorekeepers while learning all about Cubit and then decide if Cubit is for you.
The Cubit concept is individual versus individual - not teams. Play anywhere, anytime. Two players simply agree on the location and the time. It can be at someone’s home, a community center, a retirement center, a lodge, a pool hall, a bar or anywhere there’s an available pool table.
Using our mobile application, Cubit players can:
organize a group to play in round-robin sessions or play a single match against another Cubit member
create a player profile including city, state, selfie, favorite pool hall, match history, Cubit ratings and rankings
search player profiles by name, city, state or proximity to you
follow other players on your home feed
preview a matchup with a potential opponent, including Cubit recommended handicap options, who Cubit thinks will win and the predicted final score
keep score using the eight-ball, nine-ball or straight-pool mobile scorekeepers
post scores
receive notifications when someone has invited you to a Cubit Group or has posted a match for you to confirm
share results on Facebook or Twitter
earn chances to win cash prizes in our monthly drawings called PocketStakes
qualify for Cubit sponsored tournaments
Players can compete in any of three disciplines – Eight-Ball, Nine-Ball or Straight-Pool. After a match is recorded, the Cubit rating of each of those two players is updated automatically and immediately, based on that match. Then daily, at midnight, all matches recorded are used to fine tune ratings using global optimization techniques. Players are ranked by city, state, and nationally for each discipline.
When scores are recorded, players are automatically entered into a monthly drawing called PocketStakesTM. Earn entries just by playing and one or more additional entries by winning a match. Other methods of entry are also available. See PocketStakes Official Rules for details.
Cubit also distributes substantial cash prizes in traditional tournaments. Cubit tournaments are non-handicapped and eligibility is based on having the highest Cubit rating within your place of residency, age, gender or other criteria.
