Be Ready by Canadian Red Cross for Android
Good start, needs work. Done areas of the UI have duplication of features. And two major features are missing (IMO): ability to create a reunification plan to sync with family who have the app on their devices, ability to have family check in via the app (should be able to pull up a map and see who checked in, and where they were).
Nice idea but can be executed much better. I get many notifications within an hour of pretty much the same alert. I've had about 10 notifications within the last hour about the freezing rain that is currently falling from the sky. Nice idea but very annoying...
This seems really useful, except the notifications are incredibly annoying. I get *far* too many notifications for the same (completely tame) weather events, which means I not only learn to ignore them, but disable notifications from the app because I don't want to annoy other people. I get that you want a noticeable notification sound, but I really wish this app would understand what is high enough priority to yell about with a loud notification (eg: I didn't already know about it), and what isn't. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where this goes. It's a very good idea :)
Good app. However, every time I try to click the alert list my app crashes. I am unable to read the alerts.
Great idea in these uncertain times with the daily threat from extreme weather due to climate change and the ever growing terrorist threats it's good to know there's a warning system available to the general public to notify of developing or imminent danger.
You forgot to add Tsunami to this app, maybe in the next update, add Tsunami, PLZ and thank you!
This app keeps crashing when I check the alert..
Excellent app
Good idea, but stops working every time I try to check for a hazard - pretty much defies the main purpose of the application.
False alarms just because it's getting a little breezy somewhere else. Difficult to edit place. Shows Antarctica instead of Halifax.
Too many alerts for a nearby region rather than for my community or identified location. App kept failing to open when alert was delivered. I have deleted the app.
Crushes when allerts are being open.
This app is excellent except for the lack of volcanic warnings. As someone who lives in a volcano region I find this a serious deficit. If this becomes a feature I will gladly give this 5 stars.
There are a lot of problems with this app. In the tests for different scenarios you frequently get questions wrong even if you select the answer it gives you at the end
Go to emergency/disaster alert and preparedness app!

Great idea but I am in an area on a current evacuation alert and according to the app though there are no alerts!
