First Aid - Canadian Red Cross for Android
I think everyone should have this app on hand, so straight forward and easy to use in an emergency. It literally could be a life saver.
Good thing to have in hand
Amazing app
It is a good application, but ... There are some questions that need to have correct answers, like in Burns section (all provided answers in the third and forth questions of Burns Quiz are incorrect. I've asked my First Aid/CPR instructor with 30+ years of experience for the answers to check if I was right how to answer those two specified questions.). Watch out for that kind of issues.
This is a great concept but the first aid information isn't accurate and doesn’t even match Red Cross' own first aid manuals. I was going to list the discrepancies but there's just too many. Needs a through review for content accuracy.
The tips are quite good. BUT, the last question in the "Burn quiz" needs to be revised. The answer in the app is "put milk, orange juice, cola, and sports drink on burned area that require further medical attention after running cold water" this is NOT true.
I was really hoping to use this app ASAP but it always crashes within 3-5 seconds of opening it. I'm trying to use it on my Android tablet. Is there a fix?
Section for testing yourself.answers are Wrong! I love to have my staff use this however giving them the wrong information could lead to further injuries!
There should be a section for your personal medical ID in case you are injured or in trouble.
Very educational and beneficial, thanks.
Good app as a quick reference and a source of trusted information.
Very helpful, love the quiz that sharpens my thinking.
Great tool.
Cool app
It would be nice if the "emergencies abroad" would include a textual english-like pronunciation of the Key phrases. The fact that the russian one is written in Cyrillic is mostly unhelpful. But overall it is an interesting app that, I hope, will never come handy.
This is very intelligent and overdue.others are correct every phone and device should carry this or one like it.ive seen to many lives lost due to no knowledge at all.this can walk someone thru basics well.
Easy to use and very helpful information
Every phone should come with this
Best app for work
Great app. One thing though, the "Heart Attack" condition is missing from the Emergency tab. Please make sure to add what you should do in an emergency involving Heart Attacks.
Not that I'm into bloat-ware, but this is one app that should be on all phones. This is a really good preparation aid for teachers, parents, sports enthusiasts, etc. Basic first aid knowledge and some more advanced advice. Built in buttons for timers and calling 911. Testing and badges for geeks like me!
Its great in emergency situations to remind you what to do, and also to teach you
Good job guys, this is a good and helpfull app and can be understood easily . I used to work in the hospital and experienced doing some of them. Kudos.
Full of useful information, easy to follow instructions, helpful images and might (if needed) save a life one day!
I have held a CPR certification for over 17 yrs and I still refer to this information every so often. Thankfully I don't need to employ my skills too often, this reference keeps it fresh in my mind. I highly recommend it to everyone. YOU CAN SAVE A LIFE!
Great app, and better to have downloaded before needing it.
Wow, very well done... If this is my tax dollars at work I approve. The only suggestion is to add a simple heart rate monitor many phones use the camera and the light to do simple heart rate monitoring.
This should come standard on all smartphones.
Nicely put together and liked the testing component.
I'm taking a first aid and cpr class and this app has been nothing but helpful. However there appears to be a glitch at the last question on the "how to treat a burn" test where it only lets you past when you pick the last four - things you should never put on a burn. I feel uncomfortable that this is something people might assume is correct, and wish this one feature was fixed. For now, four stars.
The final question on the burn test asks for 4 things you would put on a burn when medical attention is required. The list doesn't actually include 4 proper items that meet the dressing requirements.
First aid instructor. Gonna recommend this to my classes
This is a great app for both trained and untrained first responders. Apps like these should come preinstalled with phones.
It covers the basic needs
Very resourceful app for emergencies
As a first aid instructor, I always refer course participants to this app. It is simple to use and has lots of important information that could save someone's life.
It is really helphul for when an actual emergency may occur and I have this app handy.
Works on my older cell but not my new tablets ... this needs to be more accessible to the public. Make this work on all android devices and i'll 5 star this rating.
The little things matter

Did anyone who is first aid qualified review this app before it launched? There are a lot of errors in the app when compared to the latest course materials.
