First Aid - American Red Cross for Android
Hospital section only shows rehab and psychiatric hospitals. Since this app is about first aid, emergency care hospitals should show. Please provide an update for this. I have also emailed the developer with an attached screenshot. I live in PA. Thanks.
Recent updates to "content delivery" is just code for sending Monsanto sponsored notifications to users. I'm not a huge Monsanto hater or anything but it's just not cool to send me notifications and even worse when it's some fluff piece written to make it look like they care. The rest of the content is great but I'm now less inclined to see your notifications because they're now blocked on my end and I recommend others do the same.
Great information; this is a MUST HAVE app for anyone's phone! However, hospital search for my location (92084) did not list the 3 closest hospitals, but instead listed the closest one as one being 20+ miles away. Please fix!
Very good! Its comprehensive and easy to access. My only complaint so far is a discrepancy in the care for a venomous sting or bite. It says to apply ice or a cold pack. This may be fine for normal stings, but in the case of a severe allergic reaction/deadly venom this would decrease chances of survival because this will speed the spread of venom. The ironic thing is that I learned this in an American Red Cross Course this year. Also in the section on recognizing symptoms of brown resluse/black widdow bites it describes black widdow twice and doesn't include brown recluse. It would also be advantageous to have pictures of the snakes that it lists as venomous as their names mean little to most people.
So happy to have first aid and emergency info available instantly. I have taken Red Cross first aid courses, but needed a way to review the info when needed. The App is great since it has quizzes to use for reviews of the info!
This app has good accurate information, however the quizzes have completely rediculous answers and dont actually test your knowledge.
Its ok- great study material, but the quizzes are a joke. Love the emergency section though!
Everyone should have this app and read every section. You can never be to prepared!
Good app but sponsored by Monsanto...one of the most corrupt companies in the world. I'll uninstall this.
No stats taking nor Primary/ Secondary survey. Hospital selected by phone NETWORK location, NOT by the actual phone location.
This app has helped me so much. What a great way to give information out to the public. App is super easy to use and the quizzes help you so much. Loved this app!!!!
I'm a certificate holder in C.P.R..think it is very helpful to have.Hospital locater is great idea!
Highly suggested to everyone with or without first aid training. A first responders dream.
Would like to see a section on electrocution added in next update.
Hospital section only have me options in Ohio when I am in Chicago
Great app! Though I got to wonder... What would you do without that emergency kit?
It doesn't list nearby hospitals. You need to improve accuracy of my cellphone's location. Update: They fixed.
Great app but why no ICE feature?
Tanx for help humanity around the world ...best of luck guys & i wish you more success in your works
Thnx..it helps a lot
It's amazing
Very helpful!
I'm impressed, more than I expected.
I'm studying for survival and this helps a lot
Very easy to use!
Very helpful
Good information
Very helpful
I appreciate the Red Cross immensely. But why would an organization such as the Red Cross be affiliating with a world health endangering corporation like Monsanto? Same answer as always. Money. Call me petty, but Monsanto is a ruthless, greedy, immoral company. Considering the unconscionable things they do to farmers (especially in third world countries), how they endanger the safety of the world food supply, how they bulldoze consumer rights to know what is in our food... no thanks ARC. Uninstalling.
As a certified lifeguard for Red Cross, I can safely say the app is FINE. A lot of people really underestimate situations through these reviews. I saw one complaining that calling 911 for a sting or bite was unnessecary and a waste of resources. It was obvious that this person was ignorant and I highly encourage people forget about those reviews. The app is fine, do research before posting retarded reviews though.
Samsung Galaxy 6 Edge + Just got this app and upon initial quick review I found the Hospital section to be dead wrong. Despite the fact that I have the Location button turned on in my phone, this app is giving me hospitals located in Arizona - I live in South FLORIDA. Please fix because it is very important to know where the hospitals, of ANY given area, are located. And hopefully expand it to get GPS directions as well.
The only suggestion I have is to make the quizzes harder. I want to make sure I really know what I am doing in an emergency. Some of the multiple choice questions have silly answers that are distracting to the true purpose of the quizzes.
This has some of the most basic first response guides. I usually don't go out of my way to rate or comment on something unless I really like it. This app had done that. Check it out!
But some things are a little extreme.. You don't have to call 911 for everything. And "blows to the back" for choking is a bit odd..
As someone who needs to be CPR & FIRST AID Certified for there job, this app is great to have just to refresh yourself from time to time!!! Five Stars because it can help save a life!!!
Just received an update about some safety rules by Monsanto. The only thing that will keep us safe is banning Monsanto's practice with our food. I'm uninstalling this app
There's really nothing here. Take the quizzes. "True or False: Anaphylactic Shock is caused by shopping." That's a real question. You can't search for a problem / condition - junk.
Would like to see a Food Poisoning section. I would also like to see the App automaically open under the "Emergency" Tab. Other than that, it's perfect.
This is helpful but it would be better if this had information if your in the woods . there is no pillows or cellphone service in the woods

I just started using it has a study game for my EMT class. I have done only 3 or 4 quizzes, and already have an error. In the burns unit, one question asks what the best covering to use is. The answer is plastic wrap. But that is not an option
