Crown Molding Tools for Android
I redid the crown in a home with vaulted & cathedral ceilings, bay windows, and many obtuse corners joining various walls in addition to the typical "90°" corners. Admittedly, this project was more complicated than it first seemed it would be. I couldn't have done it without this app.
This app is accurate but only tells you what angle to cut. Doesn't tell you if you need to flip the moulding for a vertical turn (top of moulding against fence) or horizontal turn (bottom against fence). And cutting calculation doesn't map to the picture. Very hard to follow. Get perfectcuts dot com instead.
Great app! It's takes practice to get a good understanding of how the angles and measurements all work and material orientation during the cuts but after you get the hang of it you can look like a pro. Remember that with any calculator, its only as good as the measurements you put in it. If the cuts don't come out right, check your spring angle first. That was the main issue I had. The manufacturer specs stated that the material was a 38 degree and was in fact a 45 degree. Overall a great app!
App has potential, but was utterly useless for me. I wasted multiple pieces of crown following its directions. Wish I could refund this one.
Works well, accurate, and has all the features you'll ever ask for.
