About BuildWatch monitors Jenkins

Monitor the state of the build on your wrist. With BuildWatch, you know when to return to your desk. When your build is ready, your wrist will vibrate and show you the status of the current build. If you don't have a Sony SmartWatch™ or don't have it connected currently, it will show an Android notification.

Currently it does not do too much - we want to see how many people actually use Jenkins & own a SmartWatch & are interested in something like this.

This works with the Open Source Continuous Integration server Jenkins (http://www.jenkins-ci.org) and uses Google Cloud Messaging, so you'll need the Jenkins GCM Notification plugin. As the setup is quite involved we created a website & tutorial videos to get you started. Please check http://buildwatch.org/setup.html

Have fun with BuildWatch! And by the way - it is open source, so if you want to add features you can do it yourself and send a pull request or get in touch via email or GitHub. The source code is available @ https://github.com/einvalentin/buildwatch

Removed anonying "null triggered a build" notification caused by impossibility of parsing the message from jenkins

It doesnt work. Don't download it!

Wish it would create a notification sound on the phone if no watch is connected. I get a visual notification but no sound or vibration.

Q70%
by Q####:

If i would ask for something would be to offer the option to Open Jenkins on the Android device screen alongside the log/message just like it does on the notification with the action buttons. Aside from that, making the Android details display text view selectable and render links as clickable.

Just add the sender id, let the app fetch a gcm token, save it, add "android notifications" to the build tasks and you are done.

Trying to set this up manually. I can see no way to get GCM token from device to enter into Jenkins. All sorted now, superbly useful app. I can now monitor my builds from the pub at lunchtime! Heartfelt thanks to Valentin

The app itself is awesome, and it is closely coupled with a Jenkins plugin and two YouTube video tutorial that explain how to set up everything. The complete solution is really awesome. Plus it leverages the Google Cloud Notification API. The app could maybe add the possibility to define a custom notification tone. ;-)
