Over the Easter weekend this year, I attended a conference whose agenda was supplied electronically through an app a tenth the size of this, and asked for no permissions whatsoever. In addition to its size, this app demands not only access to your location, camera and contacts, but to modify your contacts by itself. With that and the Uber link, I can only assume it's an information slurping honeypot the same way "free Wi-Fi" used to be at trade shows.
