Train Tickets for Android
Changes you NEED to make. When selecting a time if shows much earlier or much later times than selected. Does not show dates next to times so when moving around its difficult to be sure you've not moved to the next day. Back to point one You don't know if you've got a seat till after booking and don't know if it's for the return too. The confirmation before submit says nothing about the return time and date which you're booking Does not save your card details
Used to be awesome on my iPhone. For some reason on my Google phone it's saying I'm logged in do i want to update, so i say yes, then it says i have to login. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but same problem. Any idea what to do? Thinking maybe to do with my phone? When it's working it's great.
BRILLIANT APP THAT I JUST CAN'T FAULT BUT YOUR JUST MISSING A LIVE MAP OF TRAIN MOVEMENTS WHICH WOULD BE A GREAT FEATURE SO THAT YOU CAN SEE EXACTLY WHERE THE TRAIN IS.
The only thing I can fault about this app is the ugly icon. The app is fast, accurate and does everything you need it to without adverts or having to pay a fee.
Works okay, slightly annoying pop up asking if you want to return to main menu - but really needs to include calling points as on the website!
Great app, however to be perfect it needs the ability to reserve a bike space, or if that's not feasible, the ability to comment against a ticket so that the bike reservation number is in the same place as the ticket. Other than that it's great.
Dear developers, please read the reviews :) I want to add that app does give me coach, but not a seat (email confirmation did!). I also booked ticket from Southampton to Wolverhampton via Birmingham... app said Southampton to Southampton, change in Southampton towards Wolves. Got screen print if you'd like to see. Thank you
Great app been using for over two years. Booked over 100 journeys and no errors.
Usful to know the platforms especially for changes. - Reserve a bicycle option would be really useful.
Clocks to small for Phones
This app is just like virgin trains and it sucks plz fix it I beg you!
Firstly wouldn't recognise password, when that problem was solved I got all the way through to payment confirmation, this took suspiciously long so I went to my account to see if it had gone through, it hasn't. I tried again & got through to completing payment but this time was told it couldn't be carried out, contact customer services. I looked for a number to call them on & they say it costs 7p a minute. Third rate joke of a rail company with third rate product.
Think an update may be in order! Says my email or password is incorrect. I changed my password and tried again, didn't fix it. Also it would be nice to be able to download the journey plan on to your phone so you don't need internet to access it.
Thought I'd be able to get e-ticket to avoid the harassment I get at Manchester Piccadilly from the fare evasion guy when my station ticket office isn't open when it should be but only option was to collect ticket from machine which is pointless in my case as station I commute from doesn't have a machine. Would be OK for advance journeys I guess but I'd use my account on the cross country website for that. Please catch up to the paperless 21st century!
Excellent application on my tablet shame can't log in on my Samsung GALAXY S6 refused to take login details. Uninstalled app restarted phone and reinstalled app and it worked Must be a glitch
Now I can't log in or connection to server is not available. Really poor and no one has any answer's as to what happens now
Excellent. You can find timetables, stops, ticket prices, all the info you need to travel around UK. At times you can even get the plat number that is very useful if you are late. You can even purchase the tickets directly from here. Everything you need is here.
I convince all my family to travel on this train without any options they book all different seat it should b together an unlike others there's no refund will never book with them again no recommend and even in train they were some drunk an still drinking in the train they were speaking rubish an there no one to stop them do not travel on this train if u are with family.
Sort out a delete function for all old tickets purchased and are now used I've got loads from last year and want to delete them.
This discount works through the website but is no longer working through this app.
It doesn't allow me to log in, what's the point in buying online if I still need to pick up ticket from train station?
Will not recognise my email address or password no option to reset.
Servers down?
Does not work properly at all with WiFi or data
Just a temporary outage
What's the point selling 'advance tickets' if you don't let people buy them?
It was a great app but now for some reason I can no longer login. I have changed my password many time's but it's still saying that my email or password it wrong. Yet it send's a password reset request to the email that I use.
Purchased an m-ticket which refused to download so couldn't travel. X-Country refused to investigate or give refund....strongly recommend not purchasing on this app.
I ALWAYS GO WITH VIRGIN TRAINS
booking and speedy
Used to be Best travel app for me, just saw £39.00 for a ticket atticket counter and £79.00 to buy the same in the app!!! Rip off prices...so RIP cross country app....deleting
Was recommended this app since the National Rail one was/is dreadful. Great for checking live train times and any issues.
Great app . Disappointed you can't book multiple different journeys at the same time - no app appears to have this essential feature for ticket splitting.
Unable to activate M-tickets on my XCountry journey, booked weeks in advance. Up to now latest updates mean it does transfer old tickets to an archive, thus rectifying my remaining grumble about the app. Upgraded my rating to 5*. Intuitive app. Prefer it to the blue NatRail app which wipes out info already inputted & a pain to use. Now using this on Nexus 5x Android Marshmallow and just as pleased. I have a longer experience with the app on Nexus 7, and a history of use on earlier Android phones/platforms.
Much improved, very responsive, comprehensive app. Train tickets and times very easy to access. Better than National Rail and no adverts. If you regularly use CC all your journeys are kept, future journeys link to departure board in 2 clicks. Haven't tested complicated journeys and pricing yet.
Patchway station doesn't have a ticket collection machine so why isn't there an option for a digital ticket?? Clearly people can't collect from a ticket machine if they are leaving from that station.
Absolute rubbish ... constant error message invalid email despite trying 3. Also sent link from app to what it then said was invalid email. Complete waste of time.
I'm unable to login on the app, it says doesn't recognise my email and password, but it's fine on a PC.
Would give it 5 stars if they add plusbus booking in the app

This is a great app, however, it has a few flaws. One of the issues I have is that you cannot delete your archived tickets meaning if you commute every week, like I do, you're stuck with loads of archived tickets. Also, it saves that I have a railcard, but doesn't save my NUS number. A couple of suggestions I would give is that there should be a way of choosing which seat you want as your reservation (like the website does) and also, the ability to order a paper ticket through your phone as well. Maybe also upgrading the app to look more like material to make it just a bit more smooth and slick. Other than that, perfect app!
