Prepper Tracks for Android
For some, a 7 day kit will do just fine, others have a much more involved outlook that includes everything from food and water to power sources and raw building materials for long term subsistance. Your plan is ultimately up to you and what you feel is suitable for your family, facing the likely challenges that my happen where you live.
Prepper Tracks was made to help you organize and plan. Something to help you keep track of where you are against your own goals rather than someone else's predefined blanket list with a "grade". Something in your pocket that you can quickly reference while walking through a grocery store so you can spend that extra $20 on the things you're short on rather than an extra case of something you already have too much of. There's also a "Bug Out" list to pre-plan with things like family photo albums, things that are simply irreplacable, but might be easily forgotten in the heat of an evacuation alert.
Prepper Tracks was built on a few specific concepts and requirements:
-- Keep it simple.
-- Multiple categories: Food, Medical, Tools & Items, Utilities, Miscellaneous, Bug Out.
-- Searchable within each category.
-- No internet/wifi required. There is no cloud, it never calls home to mommy. It had to be self contained, not just because lack of electricity might be the crisis, but because most preppers don't want that kind of information "out there"....in a cloud.
-- Easy to use. Simple swipes to add and remove quantities, basic and standardized menus to navigate, easy to use forms for adding/editing items. Color coded list items based on actual vs target quantities for quick reference. (Red, Yellow, Green - Green is Good!) Last modified date, location and type of measurement for each list item.
-- Email import and export so that you can transfer your lists between your devices as well as create backups. This is the ONLY time it would need an internet connection, and completely under your control.
NOTE: One critical category has been intentionally left out, that being Security. There are some preparations that should be memorized and pretty much everything to do with Security should be. Having this information memorized reduces the risk that your preparations could be found by anyone else in the event that you lose your android device, as does occassionally happen.
